How to Change a BMW X3 2004 Rear Emblem

This video depicts how to change a REAR emblem on a BMW X3 2004.

Thanks man...replaced my hood emblem, it was so easy I ordered another emblem for the rear. 30 seconds into it, I could tell it wasn't the same thing at all. At least I didn't spend 2 hours prying and carving at it!!

Thx mate, saved me a lot of time and work. Front was easy, back was really sticky. I got mine of ebay, i live in Europe, there are a few good sellers with quality badges, and for very low prices. And yes, they are OEM. Were sold as having minor cosmetic scratches, but both front and rear were in mint condition. My X3 looks great again with fresh blue/whites.

And the BMW E-series (like X3 E83)badges have pins, the F-series dont.

Thanks.. worked perfectly 2006.. except I didn’t use a plastic flat piece to get it off. I used the flat plastic wrap that they bundle lawn bags together when you From Home Depot But works the same 👍

heat it up and use fishing line. Way easier and no damage...clean the adhesive. Mount new emblem!

Try Eucalyptus oil, to remove the adhesive. It's awesome!

Gasoline on a rag will help remove the remaining adhesive. Afterward use alcohol or hand sanitizer to wipe clean. Aside from doing this in the summer heat, I would recommend warming up the car’s surface and emblem’s adhesive with a heat gun or hair dryer right before applying. It seems adhesive works better when slightly warm (similar to why replacing roof shingles is better to do in the summer sun).

If your lucky, go to a construction site. Try to find those plastic ties/straps, that are often use around packages, or pallets of stones. They are strong and thin. Use it to saw the sticker of the badge. It worked for me. Then the cleaning begins. I got 2/3 off in one pull, the rest was removed with sticker remover and the plastic thingie to clean your windows from ice. Clean after your done, and your car is ready for its badge.

We bought one from a speciality car parts store because I could not find one online. You could probably find one from a dealer too. Hope that helps!

I also bought the wrong emblem. I plan to poke a hole in the center and helping remove the emblem without scratching the chrome base. Then glue in the new one.

or you can add two small holes in old rear emblem and stick the new one above ...thats what i will do

we sell the stick on old logo for rear.. but we only sell custom. made. bimmer logo.. no need to take out old. emblem for rear.. check our video

Buy only OEM emblems from a dealer. I bought from Amazon trying to save a few bucks and it faded to nothingness in 6 months. Now that vendor is gone.

Why not just tell the truth pop your tailgate unscrew the screws pop out the whole housing insert the new one 😉 screw back together that's it 😉 you are welcome
