Mercedes advised on drop link replacement due to rubber grommet had split, there was no knocking at this point. I changed the drop links on both sides at the front and now I hear knocking from the drivers side. I’m confused. Had the wheel back off and drop link feels nice and tight???????!

Without proper diagnosis it is difficult to say something, it is recommended to contact the service.

Try and swap them from left to right and tighten to correct torque spec

How does one know the correct orientation of new links? Which way is up and which way is down.

They can go either way, both ends exactly the same

In this case, the tightening torque is 98 Nm, you can find precise information in your vehicle maintenance log book

Now try it on a representative vehicle, i.e. with rusty parts.......you dont need to replace these links on new vehicles....

Who the hell tighens their lug bolts/nust with an impact gun??!!!! U guys heard of such thing as a torque wrench?

You're absolutely right, in practice you should definitely use a torque wrench and observe the appropriate tightening torques. We have already fixed a number of problems in the new videos, we will be glad if you appreciate the new videos.
