Great video! As my Fusion is getting closer to 175k miles, I’m thinking more and more about doing oil changes myself so I can make sure things are done properly and with care. This doesn’t seem to difficult if you have access to a good lift 👌🏼

What size gasket is on the plug?

Man that has to be the easiest oil filter placement ever.

He literally just did this in less than 15 min. Why do I spend over an hour and pay $40+ at the dealership????
@jimthecarguy5 жыл бұрын
Actually $40.00 is a fair price for the oil change.Thank you for watching . I'm happy to help. Don't forget to subscribe.

Cause they also perform tire rotation, air filter replacement/cleaning, vacuum the cowel, check brake pad life, tread depth, top off fluids, etc etc..

@@jimthecarguy and i do agree $40 is a pretty reasonable price for an oil change/service

would it be a major problem if a use a 5W30 Synthetic blend from motorcraft in the 2.0 ecoboost engine?

I will talk about this on my Sunday night live stream at 7:00 PM.I hope you can stop by

jimthecarguy i just found this video. So i didn't see the live video. Would 5w30 synthetic be a issue?
@SOYDEMONTERREY6 жыл бұрын
I read the owners manual and saw the oil cap. Ford specifically recommends using 5W30 At least for my 2013 2.0 ecoboost Fusion.
@SOYDEMONTERREY6 жыл бұрын
Fusion in the video needs SW20, mine needs SW30.

Great video. My 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium 2.0 ecoboost took 5W30 not 5w20.

Must be because you got the turbo motor.

Yes I think they do but I'm not sure

Omg really ford ? No access to the drain plug, is anyone else doing this?
@jimthecarguy6 жыл бұрын
Yes one of there better ideas.A lot of other manufactures are also doing this.I just had a VW in the shop today with that plastic shield.
@jpnm816 жыл бұрын
jimthecarguy ya they really don't want people to service cars except dealers I guess
@heyitschinoable6 жыл бұрын
jpnm81 almost every one is doing this. Some cars have a smaller access panel thats a part of the bigger shield that can be removed easier for drain plug and filter access.

You right .Some are plastic and the others are made of some kind of other material.

Well um yeah ya have to life the car enough off the ground to be able to reach the oil drain plug and filter.... It's the same deal with any car... Pickup trucks??? That can vary depending on their stock body height off the ground versus how far you are..or are not.
