HOW TO Video of my regularly scheduled Oil change for my 2014 Ford Fusion 2.5L. I change my oil with Full Synthetic motor oil and do this every 5000-6000 Miles depending on the driving conditions during that specific interval.
As I approach my other maintenance intervals I will be video taping & adding more How-to's and create a "Fusion" playlist for them.

Good general oil change video that any novice can follow. Liked your tip on filling the new oil filter up with the new oil before putting on the vehicle. Where did you get the low profile ramps from? Those would work perfect for my Toyota Camry. Thanks

Glad it was helpful! I can't remember exactly but I think these were from Walmart believe it or not.... also if your car is lower , I've used a couple 2X4's in from of the ramps before to get the car up a bit before rolling up the ramps.

How tall are your ramps? Mine are to tall and would destroy the front bumper

Something I am having trouble with right now is figuring out how to get my car jacked up from the rear and still be able to fit the damn jack stands under it. There isn't enough room under the trim to fit both at the same time.
@EverythingAvron
@EverythingAvron 3 жыл бұрын
What I did was place the jack a decent distance behind the marked lift point so that I can have the Jack stands in the correct spot. Brief amounts of time lifting away form the main lift point won't hurt it.

Have you ever noticed any blowby coming out of the oil cap with the car running. Just bought a 2014 with 55,000 miles and it has a lot just wondering if that's normal. Thanks
@EverythingAvron
@EverythingAvron 3 жыл бұрын
No I haven't seen any glow by before?..... Id say clean that area really good with sap and water and give it a few weeks and see if its just old oil that was dropped when filling. Or if it's truly coming out the cap.
@Beemanshooter
@Beemanshooter 3 жыл бұрын
@@EverythingAvron I think you miss under stood my question, im referring to high crankcase pressure. Not oil leaking around the cap. Im asking if you have air pressure blowing out of the oil fill hole ( cap off )with the car running.

I can't remember the number off the top of my head, but when you go into Autozone, O'Reillys, Walmart, etc. they have books or computers which will show you all the Correct sized filters for your car.

Do I really need the .7 could I just use the 5 quarts one
@EverythingAvron
@EverythingAvron 3 жыл бұрын
Id say yes you do need the .7... because all engines will consume a lil bit of oil over the course of a few to several thousand miles. and you don't want to start off low already then go even lower and screw up your engine.
@EverythingAvron
@EverythingAvron 3 жыл бұрын
But I do feel your pain... I get the 5qt Jug and a filter for like $30 and then stuck having to pay $6 to $10 for one 1qt bottle. ugh

Hi bro, I'm planning to buy a 2017 ford fusion with 2.5l engine and wondering if it's a good car to buy? Please respond back to me and let me know . Thanks🙂
@SSwell87
@SSwell87 3 жыл бұрын
They are great cars and the Fusion's 2.5 engines have proven to be very reliable. It's not the fastest, but gets great MPG and Sport mode helps make it a lil funner to drive. Throw on a K&N intake if you want to hear the engine more. I have a 2016 with that setup, 43k miles and still loving it.

@@SSwell87 Hi Bro, So 2.5l is better way to go instead of 1.5l Eco boost? Thanks 🙂🤗
@EverythingAvron
@EverythingAvron 3 жыл бұрын
I love my 2.5L! cheap to maintain and gets good MPG, since my truck drinks gas like its going out of style😂. I actually used to have a 2014 1.5L Ecoboost (I traded it in for the Truck). I have to say my 1.5L was indeed faster and did get slightly better MPG but you got to maintenance it more often. and its not as reliable as this 2.5L like @Gursimran Pannu said. So if your going for Speed go 1.5L.. if your going for Longevity and easy to maintain 2.5L.

@@SSwell87 Any transmission issues with the 6 speed auto on your car?
@SSwell87
@SSwell87 3 жыл бұрын
@@chadfield376 None so far. The shift from 2nd to 3rd can be a little clunky at times, but that's a common complaint with these. No actual issues with it though and I'm sitting at 45K miles on my 2016. Other Fusion owners recommend a drain & refill around this point in mileage so I'll be doing that just as a precaution.
