Whenever the 9550 comes up in a video, I have to say that's it's waaay to stiff for a daily driver/pavement application. The off-road performance is great!

I had a Teraflex 3 1/2" lift kit installed and it came with the 3.1 piggyback shocks. They will adjust, but must be done before installing. However, if you want to change the setting,(for example in cold weather,) you just un-bolt the bottom bolt, let it extend out, then twist the shaft whichever way is needed. A bit of a hassle, but love the shocks. Do wish they could have been the 3.3's, but lacked the $$$ at the time. Maybe somewhere down the road. Great video!

@1111Overland

Aziz Al Roumi in my experience setting “1” is so soft that when you hit a large bump it sends the Jeep rocking back and forth a bunch. It’s GREAT if you don’t want to feel the bumps of a gravel road or washboard road, but when you hit a bigger bump you’ll be rocking for a few moments.
@1111Overland
@1111Overland 5 жыл бұрын
Aziz Al Roumi I like to keep my Falcons on 2.6 when I’m on the road. Feels like the right balance between stability and comfort. When I go off road I do 3, and if I chance upon a washboard road or a long gravel road where I’m still driving fast, I switch to 1.

Thanks for video! Could you help to choose please? What is better: adjustable control arms or control arms brackets or 3-link long arm kit (diy kit)? These kits have approximately similar prices. Using vehicle everyday and offroad on weekends. Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited Rubicon 2015. Lift 3.5 inches. The main goal to put 37 inches tires and make Jeep suspension is very reliable. Few times per year we go to the mountains for a couple days. There is no any service or welding or even electricity. So suspension must be very reliable to not to way some parts in the mountain:)

The 9550s are probably like my RC N3 shocks, good for slow offroading but they suck on the highway and for fast offroading. I had over $100 in amazon points so I went with the Falcon 2.1s, apparently they are better than the Bilsteins 5100s.

3 settings? I put QA1s on my lightning and you can get double adjustable knobs with 18 settings. But those falcons look better if that's an issue with you. I put rough country on my jeep after the lift and different springs and it is very stiff in the street. Even with C rated 35/37 mud terrains its Too stiff imo but offroad it cant be beat

I have the 3.3 sp2's on my 2019 JLU rubicon and they are unreasonably stiff and bouncy on road even in full soft. They do soak large hits extremely well and reduce body roll, however small bumps and or uneven roads are extremely jarring. Sometimes even with the longer wheelbase the rear of the jeep kicks. Even after spending the money I did on them I am considering other options King Ect. Admittedly the roads where I live a pretty terrible.

Being new to off-roading ,I've heard that alot of people are using Fox Shocks and I haven't heard of any one using Falcons , can you tell me which is the better choice .
@extremeterrain
@extremeterrain 4 жыл бұрын
Falcon shocks are a great option when looking for replacements, as well! Falcons will tend to ride a little stiffer as low-speeds and loosen up at high speed due to their digressive valving. This will allow for nice and stiff ride off-road to hold up to rock crawling, but a more supportive ride and less body roll once you're on the highway. Fox shocks are set up to ride a little bit softer, but still perform just as well off-road. It really comes down to personal preference between the two. -Zach
