How do you get the volume up/down audible tone to play over the bluetooth connected earbuds and not the default speakers setup for the firetv 4k max device?

Holy shit, thank you, i have been struggling with this for forever and it was just because i was too lazy to put batteries in my remote and I couldn't fix it from the phone app. Once I put batteries in the remote, I got the update and it immediately worked.

Mine is a second gen regular fire stick bought in the UK, software is up to date and it is on version 5.2.9.0 (updated today) no controls for Bluetooth, I have a skullcandy jib+ which have volume controls on it, but for my edifier the volume is way to high

great job! My volume button do control my bluetooth speaker, however the voice control "alexa turn volume up" does not work. Is there a way to route also Alexa volume control to the bluetooth? probably with a routine?

I just bought the 4k Max since it was on sale, I am running in to the issue only when I am using the Netflix app that I can not control my BT speaker volume controls or mute. The remote volume control works fine on all the other apps just not the Netflix app. This is getting frustrating because I can not find a fix for it, maybe I have a faulty Firestick?

I have new MAX firesticks that have Bluetooth volume control. Works great. Just purchased a new regular 4k firestick (not MAX) and installed all updates and have NO Bluetooth volume control. Look like to get Bluetooth volume control right now, your only choice is the MAX firestick.

I have fire tv (3rd gen), got the new remote with the volume buttons. When I push them, I see the volume bar going up & down on the screen, but it doesn’t actually affect the volume on the speaker. (Speaker is a UE boom 3) Any ideas?!

You connected a Bluetooth device and you could not control the volume. Even if you did not see a volume d bar on the screen did you still test the volume

Thank you. But my remote has a volume button and still does not control the volume of my connected Bluetooth echo speaker. It is an older firestick. I’ll replace with one of my newer spare fire sticks.

I am a very old user of fire tv stick. I purchased it years ago like when it was launched so I guess I have 1st gen. When ever I connect my Oneplus Earbuds Z to the fire tv , the volume was automatically very high and also I was not able to decrease it at all. this is so annoying. please help me sir

Hey, my fire tv stick is also controlling the volume on my home theatre which is connected through bluetooth. I do not want that as it doesn’t allow me to go over a certain level of volume on my home theatre. Please help!

You have to go into the settings and remove your home theater. I believe you had to manual set that up

2nd gen Cube.... I can control my Tv's audio but not my Bluetooth audio.... I pair my earbuds and again the TV volume is affected only...

@@Hindsight101 xiaomi ebs basic 2. I am on the 7.2.2.9 and will hold off further updates as I would be stuck with the default launcher otherwise (which is dreadful....)

I have the regular version, the one that isn't 4k, has tv controls (including TV volume) and 4 buttons on the bottom for prime video, Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Music. I followed many guides, including the last one you made, and this video finally helped me. Apparently my fire stick remote does control the Bluetooth audio, but for some reason the device doesn't show the volume bar, and it also modifies the TV audio at the same time, a bit annoying, but since there's no audio coming from the TV it's fine as long as I remember to watch out when I disconnect my earbuds. Thank you for your help!

I have got the Fire TV Stick 4k with volume control and buttons for Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Music. Fire OS Version is still 6.2.8.1 and no update available.

I have the Fire Stick Basic Edition And I have volume and mute buttons (don’t have any Netflix of prime video buttons tho) I just checked for updates and it says I’m up to date? but the volume is always at 50% like you said and in AirPods that’s much to loud for me. It shows the volume changing on the tv but the volume stays the same in my AirPods. It’s a shame but I can survive with one earbud at a time. Honestly might consider getting those earbuds from the last video
