Rump steak, it can be a tough one to cook. It is a hard working muscle and the rump tends to be very lean. So let’s look at how we can prepare this super tasty steak to be one of the most tender steaks as well.
As with all my recipes I run through the selection, preparation, seasoning, BBQ set up, times and temps, so you can recreate this recipe at home.
As always, cheers for watching

So this totally worked. The only difference was that I only had it in the Kiwi for 30 mins instead of the full 60 coz the steak wasn't all that tough to begin with. This is my new favourite method for tenderising meat. Thanks for this sir.

Im a huge fan of rump steak. My local supermarket does thick cut rump steak and are usually between 550 and 650 grams. I used to reverse sear them in the smoker until temp was met and then id let rest for 10 mins and then in a hot skillet i would sear them. Always came out tender, always had heaps of juice. Never had any complaints either

NO unless: the barbecue uses only gas or electricity and is a "permanently fixed structure" built of stone, metal, concrete or another non-flammable material." Cheers mate, I live in a bushfire prone area. You're answer to a question below, proceeds to take out a portable gas stove hahaha. Only fucking with ya mate, the you tube comment section is a great source of humor

@SchueysBBQ
@SchueysBBQ 4 ай бұрын
Thanks @adamfraser4509 I'd suggest, looking it up the regulations before making assumptions and throwing out comments of doubt mate., By Googling "can I use a gas BBQ on a total fire ban day, the very first hit reads "You can't cook outdoors using solid fuel such as wood or heat beads during Total Fire Ban Days. NO unless: the barbecue uses only gas or electricity and is a permanently fixed structure built of stone, metal, concrete or another non-flammable material." Cheers mate, I live in a bushfire prone area.
