Dude you are a godsend! I am creating a cyberpunk scene and my hologram shader is way too complicated, especially with the horizontal lines being a texture I had to make in photoshop, I did not know that I can use the wave texture for that. Now thanks to you I can make it simpler and more procedural, except for the main hologram texture of course. Thanks dude!

@@ricguimm I reckon this can be easily implemented in live action vfx like you would with After Effects, if so it would make for a much cheaper effect.

Another problem, the rectangle was still visible because of a bit of black, I removed that by clicking in the bottom rectangle in the first ColorRamp, then V set on 0.013 Hope it helps if someone get the same issue, seems to be a good solution for me

Would you make it look animated by having multiple different "holograms" moving on a plane?
@ricguimm4 жыл бұрын
There are a couple of ways to do that! One of them is to create a noise modifier on your graph, other would be to create keyframes with different intensities (either on the wave texture node or the noise texture node). I can make a tutorial about it in the future! Thanks!

Awesome tutorial! I made a Hologramm but it only appears to be sharp infront of my building.. When there is nothing behind it, for example in the sky, it is just blurry.. Maybe you know why? :D Thx!
@oscarlamprecht19784 жыл бұрын
It's only in EEVEE and when depth of field is enabled :)

Ok! Did you solve it then?

@@ricguimm Mhh not yet, using cycles at the moment..It seems that somehow the blur of the background (using volumetrics) gets overlayed the nearer object, the hologram.
