I made your jig & Christmas trees. Both turned out great. Thank you for sharing. A comment on the jig, add a stop block to the end of the jig registering against the end of the miter saw. Then, you can set your additional saw angle, put your jig in place & cut away. No more fumbling around trying to read the miter gauge angle.

Excellent video and idea. I'm a luthier in Australia and I've pondering for while how to use my miter saw for cutting scarf joints on guitar necks (12-15degrees). I think this jig might work for me. Thanks so much!

I like that idea! I have made a couple bass guitars and never even thought of that. I will give it a try. You'll have to let me know how it goes.

Thanks for figuring it out for me 😊 I was recently cutting extreme angles, in a very dangerous manner. Won't do that anymore.

Did I miss somewhere in this video how to use the 2nd triangle? Thanks for this video. Nice clear, easy to follow instruction.

Great question. I didn't use it. But it could be used as another brace.

Great little jig! Did you put the triangle right in the middle and wll this work on a 10" mitre saw?
@cedarriverwoodworking8 ай бұрын
I felt like it only needed 1 brace, but yes it should work in a 10 inch saw.

What brand of C.A. glue do you use? I use 2P10 and it always dries up and hardens in the bottle after just a couple uses
@cedarriverwoodworking8 ай бұрын
Starbond. I have the kit that I use linked in the description box. I have had them capped for a while and zero drying out. amzn.to/45LUYvZ here is the link I use too.

I'll definitely make one of these. But I'm thinking of cutting the edge of the base at a curve that matches my miter saw so that I could see the angle gauge. Has anyone tried that? Great video.
@cedarriverwoodworking8 ай бұрын
Good change. You could score lines into the top by slightly cutting into it and then lable what the angle is.

Are you putting the CA glue on the wood or does it matter if it gets on the wood glue
@cedarriverwoodworking8 ай бұрын
Good question. I apply in as a few drops along the joint surface, where the wood glue goes. Directly to the wood is perfectly fine.
