Jealous people are people too. We should love everyone. I am jealous sometimes, and insecure, but i don't "spew hate", and sure am not incompetent. Sometimes i put in the effort to change my jealousy into appreciation for what someone else has achieved. It's not always easy to have a clear mind.

So true. So parasitic & pathetic. It's ridiculous & dangerous at the same time. When it gets serious it's not funny anymore. Life gets critically critical like in a coma. If only anybody knew what I'm going through because of too many people like that you wouldn't be able to believe just how strong that jealousy is.

Yes, so reach out to others as Brandon says as long as you set limits - the amount of time with them if they're not behaving appropriately, not allow them to mistreat you... Love sometimes it's all it takes to get someone to begin to love themselves, which I'm turn leads to them loving others.

@@dominicbrogsdale3348 Yes! Dominic, he hates you for being you, he envy you but still wants to be around you. I cut people off that are Jealous of me. Trust me I have alot of jealous people that hate me for being me. I try to stay away from jealous people because they aren't good for my spiritual well being.

The thing is that you can't always just "ignore it". Some people's jealousy is so big that they will do evil things to you and try to ruin your life, even if you cut them off and ignore them. Even if you're nothing but kind to them. Jealousy can really be dangerous.

You don't 'deal' with them.....you cut them out of your life. Jealous people are toxic and they drain your spiritual energy from you......they make you feel bad about yourself and they DO NOT belong in your life. Have NOTHING more to do with the person that is jealous of you because I can tell you from personal experience, they will ALWAYS be jealous of you. My sister has been jealous of me all my life (she is a lot older than me) and now I very rarely see her. I just could not handle her toxicity any more.

and also my mother is sometimes jealous and mean to me (for the same reasons as the woman I told you about, I just have some particular skills that they don't have but wish they did (nothing that special tho). It's really painful, but I can imagine it's also painful to them. For me, I tend to be jealous of my friends' looks (I have some beautiful friends, while I'm kinda less than average) and that jealousy sometimes gets the better of me.

Jealous people fall under the umbrella of toxic people. Showing them love and compassion, or going out of your way to make them feel better by downplaying your accomplishments, doesn't do any good because jealousy isn't the only toxic trait they possess. They are also often greedy, entitled, hypocritical, two-faced, etc, and will use your "weaknesses" (of which kindness is viewed as one) against you. They don't feel content until you're a bug squashed under their feet and completely under their control.

Jealous people makes you feel what they feel. They are eager to do something just to put you down. They are happy when they see you suffering or can't do something. But I just couldn't stop feel pity to them. They are just hurting their own feelings. Hurting their own self. That's why, insecurities and jealousy can make them do something inappropriate.

Some people dont want to be helped. They want to wallow in their own misery and then bring other people down. I work full time, im pregnant and study a masters. I get so much jealousy because I have my head down on my own life. People are so bitter and want to drag you down even if you help them. I dont know what more these people want.

We need to be PROUD to ourselves when other people are so much hating and jealous for what we have.. as they are only talking about their own poor pity life.. their barking and hatred are talking about themselves.. WHY they like to waste their time, energy and money only to make someone get sick and feel ill?? the answer is their hatred and jealousy, and they are mourning grieving a lot about their unhappy poor pity life.. They have PROBLEM, their jealousy, that's WHY they are mourning barking a lot. we should be HAPPY and PROUD about their insults and harrassment.. means we are so much IMPORTANT for them.. 😀

@Amathyst80 now see, you may think people dont want to be happy, but is that really what they think? Can you really read people without them having their say in the story? I have been told not to control others but myself, but that doesnt mean i shouldn't try helping others nevertheless. Not helping people makes one no better than them. You could live alone, but eventually you have to reach out to someone...

Coming back to this comment, seeing the replies makes me want to say that having one's pride itself is a deadlier sin than their envy. Perhaps they need something more than sharing their own story of insecurity. Give them as much help as you can, and if they refuse to change, cease contact with them, but give them an ounce of kindness by wishing them the best. Us humans all have fault, there may be no win win for everything, but there is always a chance at life.

Please do not try to understand jealous people or have sympathy for them, majority of them are evil people who will do everything they can to destroy you mentally, physically and spiritually! I had a jealous hater ruin a relationship with a woman I've loved since childhood. He was so intent on driving a deep wedge in between us and spreading lies and rumors about me. Sometimes it's not so easy to just ignore the hate when it escalates into dangerous cowardliness that risks your life or reputation.

I never let him come between us. But anyway I think he managed to manipulate him in the end🤣😅. When he saw I wasn't gullible, he decided to consistently target him.

The worst thing about jealous people is that they admire you yet resent you at the same time. Then they try to compete, be like you, steal your energy and try to copy you. It’s weird. It’s like they hate you for being yourself but then like you because they want to be like you. Confused bunch lol. They also spend a large amount of time “concerned” about you or trying to find out details and you and your personal business. A hater is basically your biggest fan but rather than love it’s hate and bad energy they give. I recently made the mistake of casting pearls at swine thinking my kindness will win them over. Big mistake, it only made my hater resent me even more. Cutting them off seems to be the best solution.

Hi, Christian. Thanks for sharing your experience and your wise words. You are absolutely right, and I 100 percent relate to you. The reason the haters become more resentful after casting pearls before swine is because they know they are beneath us. We are high-vibrational, and they are low-vibrational. They feel too small and inferior to get it together.

It seems like ever since I started climbing up the ladder with my career and focussing on myself and taking care of my body everywhere I go I encounter envious people trying to drag me down. I usually ignore it though because my eyes are on my goal and no one can shift that. When i wasn't doing anything with my life that's when everyone was ok with me.

It's true about jealousy over short term success. I find that new people I meet have been jealous because they don't understand how long I worked to achieve my goals... like they don't know it's been looooong term, they just weren't there in the beginning. I'm not being big-headed, but I have self-love and alot of people tell me how pretty I am. But I notice other girls get very jealous and it's extremely off setting. I get alot of attention (even though I don't really want it) and I seem to get on better with guys because I grew up with older brothers, and girls view that as a threat. It really sucks, you could be the kindest person and people still hate you. I'm ignoring it but it sucks when you all you're doing is existing and people dislike you because of it

Honestly same but in my case it's my older sister, whenever we go out I get more attention(I dont want it I swear😭) and people compliment me, which is bad cuz she'll be right next to me, shes so toxic and insecure and I've tried to make things work between us but it just wont, we dont speak to one another at all, and I just cant wait to move out and never meet her again

I know all too well how you feel. I have had this reality for over 40 years. I'm not joking. I tried being friends with other people of the same gender. Forget it! I have male friends, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I get FAR more respect and appreciation.

I listened to that song jealous... and it helped me understand why people are jealous. If someone is jealous its cause your touching tasting feeling something they want and can't have, and that is a love for themselves..I love who I am..and I can hear her saying I hate myself..I would tell her we have a lovely life and she would agree just to be close to me. Not cause she loved me. Cause she loved how I loved her. She was jealous off how I was happy without her and in all my pain I still loved the world and myself. She just needed her dad to love her. She never grew up.

I think what so many jealous people fell to realized is that the person that they’re jealous of, sometimes has their own battles and weaknesses too, regardless of their life looks perfect from the outside. Some People always looking at other people lives but they need to understand that they need to find their own path, and look within themselves, their destiny. We’re all special. Hard work pays off. Some work hard to be successful and so it’s important that the jealous person work hard to get what they want, instead of being jealous of others. Support people and honor their success but very important to find your own destiny.

The sad part is many people are jealous of things they invent in their head about other people. It's sad but now days people don't even get to know people anymore. I assure you if most people got to know the people they are jealous of, they wouldn't be so jealous. We are all imperfect humans and the only difference is how we choose to carry on in life. It's all about perspective.

I am the man with the best and natural hair ever, ever. No man or no woman would have a hair like me ever. When I am walking everybody looking at me. Peoples are tremendously jealous. I am the most discriminated ever, ever. Specially those people with partially or all lost hair from their heads, or people that their family members lost partially or all hair from their heads, when they see me they can't take it. But there is always someone approaching me and telling me that I have the best hair in the world. Lot of peoples are making comments to each other about my hair.

Love this. They usually ignore the work you have done though, especially if you don’t brag about it, or it’s not bragged about by others, and project that it’s all short term, or from someone else’s favoritism. Or that you’re “just trying to get attention “ . The undermining is the hard part.

So, I am going to finish off, hopefully it will help someone. I think givers are very confident people because they do not feel it detracts from them or need to be the centre of attention all the time. Takers in the other hand have huge self esteem issues and insecurities and that is why they spend their valuable time on others instead of working on themselves. I think you have to tackle this from an early age. A confident child makes a confident adult. Many problems in the world are rooted in a person's self doubt and that goes from the top down and so they compensate for these feelings of inadequacy by choosing negative behaviour instead of positive. Working on your self esteem is a good start.

People can be that way for any reason ... even good looks or great personality.. some are insanely jealous by their personality, though I find many high achievers can be braggers or ego trippers , they often get lost in GREED... why be in a race with others... that's competitiveness. You do not need to be a million dollar man. JUst be happy being you..in the end all the big bucks remain on ground ZERO... anyway !!!!!

People are jealous of something they feel that another person has that they think they cannot get/have/achieve. Drop /cut anyone from your life who exhibits jealousy. Yes, help people who do not show signs of envy or jealousy. Life is too short to invest in those who mean nothing but harm for you. There are so many others who will truly appreciate what you can offer to help them. Jealous people are harmful and sick. They need to work on themselves and there is nothing you can do to help them. No need to be mean to them, but cut them out of your life like a cancer!!!

Brendon, thank you so much! You words are confirmation that I am doing the right thing! Three of my four immediate co-workers are covert malignant narcissist! Their behavior is so appalling. inappropriate and unprofessional that I have ceased ALL contact with them! I ignore them completely! No verbal or written contact whatsoever! Doing do allows me to maintain my peace and joy, my professionalism and successfully fulfill my professional obligations and remain passionate about the work that I do! After several months of my co-workers' covert behavior, I believe that others, including management, are now beginning to see what is going on! Again, thank you!

6:10 I’ve been living thish way, just helping people, everyone I can, but some people get jealous even of that and transform into a “who can be more generous” competition. Like it’s for attention. What I’ve learned is, yes, help people, but not to an extend where you are being unhelpful to yourself because you can’t tell no ones intention at the end of the day. Only yours. My inner response is, I AM HELPING A LOT LOT LOT OF PEOPLE. So if THAT is success they are jealous of, BRING IT ON! I have done alot of good stuff and yes I have haters lol. Graduated college too. I'm now 39 and medically retired. US Army. Ended up being a Correctional Sergeant and they could not handle it. I quit and make the same money off my disability and a weekend job. I'm so done with my haters trying to live in peace now.

I am a jealous person myself. Boiled down to 2 things: Hatred towards myself and fear. What helps is to focus on positive self talk, and genuinely believing that no matter who hurts me, I am strong enough to face it and walk away. Also, I stop myself from putting on my partner. It’s not his fault I’m jealous. But it’s easy to blame. I learned to take responsibility for my feelings of jealousy. I’m not envious of successful ppl but am jealous in my relationship. My boyfriend is a reliable and loyal type of person (doesn’t mean he would never make a mistake). But my point is that I hardly have any reason to be worried. I get jealous b/c I do not “approve” of myself, and I am fearful of what “could happen” that would hurt me. It’s truly selfish.

Thanks for your advice and reflection, I was feeling confused and wondering in my situation with my companions in the school, I have tried my best to be kind with them and I never boast of my achievements is just that I work hard for my betterment and future for what is waiting me ,I hate competition. I have ignored them several times but it's too much, I have no even friends in school because they all together and hardly someone shares or do anything with me and I just find myself walking alone or facing any difficulty alone,but I trust in God and myself. I now know what was happening to me...annoying thing is I believed the things that was happening to/around me and didnt understand why certain people were on my mind. Im one that is about lifting others and celebrating their success and going through my obstacles.All you mentioned happened to me, and it derailed and got me in a deep depression because it was family...I saw them at a level I couldn't imagine them. Annoying thing is a lost all my investments and non of them cared if anything they were happier. This got me feeling so sad and took 2yrs to come out of my depression because as I have been trying to achieve. Now at 37 I'm starting again...wish me luck. 🥰🌻

This is a good idea Brandon for opening up on this. Jealousy is one of the most difficult emotions to deal with when struggling with infertility. Often times, when we are feeling jealous. We are so caught up in the emotion that we focus on how terrible the feeling is and how much we wish things were different. It is important to keep in mind that just as the feeling arises, it will pass. Jealousy is an innate emotion embedded in our human nature. If you were to trace jealousy back to its roots, you would be able to find its evolutionary purpose. However when dealing with infertility. You are likely not thinking about the evolution of jealousy. It is helpful though, to understand that jealousy is a universal human experience and that there are ways we can learn to work with the feeling so it does not affect us in such a consuming, negative way. Jealousy becomes problematic when we start to wallow in it allowing it to influence our day to day lives. A therapist can also help in such a case. Like the way my therapist in Bio tex clinic did.
