How to delete EGR valve on a Mitsubishi L200/Triton

this video is all about removing the EGR valve from the truck. it should prevent future problems and improve emissions.
It's a very simple process and takes about 5 minuts and can be done by anyone with a set of scanners or sockets.

Good evening buddy' my egr is already been blanked off but the cooler is still on. Do you have a video of egr cooler removal. Im having a disagreement with mine because i noticed another pipe underneath the cooler.

How does it drive after the egr delete ? and how is warmup time and mpg ?

To be honest I don't think anything changed at all. If they did then it was only a minute difference.

Wondering why you actually removed the egr when you could have just removed the pipe and blanked off from manifold to egr. That way the electric sensor in the egr valve would still be fitted and not flag and engine "mil" light. I too removed the egr cooler and ran a new hose via a couple of small brackets. 10 years on and still getting no smoke and mot tests fine for smog etc. Tip: wear nitrile gloves.. Diesel / oil is not good for your skin. 👍

I never had an engine light come on at all doing it the way I did. At some point I do intend to remove the cooler too

No it never on my truck and everything else iv read online noone else has had an eml light come on from disconnecting the egr valve. I dont know about newer trucks though

If only it were that simple. It’s cleaning the gunk out of the manifold that’s harder, and when it’s coked onto the valves in the cylinder head, good luck.

Hia pal wondering if you could help I have a 55 l200 k74 my eml has come on and I have lost all power engine sounds ruff am getting code 41 and 52 I see you have changed the vacuum pipes maybe I should do mine really doing my head in now tho cheers.

I was getting that issue. If the look at the top of the back of the engine. Theres 2 solenoid valve that have 4 vaccume pipes connected to them. I kept finding one of mine was popping off. Ended up clamping in with a tiny fuel pipe clamp its been fine ever since. If you still ha e full control of the truck then its likley to only be a small vacuum hose. The ones that are close to finger width will take away your power brakes and cause some slight staining in your trousers. Hope that helps you

@@ChrisManChannel cheers all the pipes are connected but the turbo acuater is going in and out on idle and when I drive it the turbo is on and off on and off wired one

Hello mate. Your new subscriber here. I got a 06 k74 l200. I see you have an aftermarket airbox. I've put a snorkle on mine but there's not much sound difference. How does yours sound? You have a snorkel?

Sorry it's been so long. I swapped the air box out for a standard box. The k&n one came with the truck when I bought it but the filter was crap and I wasnt spending £180 replacing it so I changed it. I havnt put a snorkel on yet but that's on the list of things I need to do, but since changing the air filter I've noticed I can hear the turbo spoiling up more now.
