0:00 Introduction: Vertigo symptoms
0:40 What causes vertigo?
1:05 Calcium crystals in the inner ear
3:45 Vertigo natural remedy
4:41 Vertigo exercises
In this video, I’m going to share a natural remedy for vertigo. Surgery, along with vertigo exercises, are sometimes suggested as treatment for vertigo, but this doesn’t address the root cause.
Vertigo is typically caused by calcium crystals in the wrong part of the ear. These inner ear crystals interrupt communication between the hairs and nerves in the ear and the brain. This can drastically affect balance.
It’s normal to have inner ear crystals, but if they’re in the wrong place, they can cause vertigo. In the first compartment of the inner ear, calcium crystals are situated on top of the otolithic membrane. Underneath are hairs connected to nerves that go to your brain. Calcium crystals add weight to this “gel” membrane to help you easily navigate the world around you.
Most people have around 1000 calcium crystals per ear. These inner ear crystals are only problematic when they become dislodged and go deeper into the ear. This can be caused by head trauma, infections, certain medications, and aging.
People with vertigo have higher calcium concentrations in the lymph, so they may have more trouble dissolving it. There’s a high association of people with osteoporosis and vertigo. People with osteoporosis have excess calcium in the soft tissues.
Vitamin D may help with vertigo by helping your body remove excess calcium and putting it where it belongs.
Consider taking between 10,000 and 20,000 IU of vitamin D3. Make sure to take it with vitamin K2 and magnesium. Magnesium naturally counters calcium buildup.

My wife had Vertigo a year ago. It was awful we thought it was worse maybe even a brain tumor as she would fall and couldn't stand up. They gave her medicine for vertigo and it only helped a tiny amount. So wife and I went on KZfaq and watched 5 minute video on the Epley Maneuver. Did that and a minute later she was fine. A year later not a single episode. I am also taking daily magnesium with D3/K2 as well.

Bro I’m 21 I had vertigo around October/November of 2023 a lot of people think we’re joking but if you’ve never experienced it it’s an absolutely terrifying experience. Woke up, saw everything tilting LIKE unrealisticly tilting. Went back to sleep, woke up 2 hours later and nope I wasn’t dreaming I had to vomit2-4 different times and lowkey thought I was going to die. When I tried walking I had to hold on the wall or something. Was afraid of telling anyone else other than my mom since they would’ve thought it was a mild headache. I got vertigo because for some reason I kept turning my head sleeping positions at night (I’m dumb so that’s what I get) but the solution for me was to rest for the next few days while doing my best to sleep on the same sleeping position with my head facing the same direction which put the crystals back in my ear. I tried doing ear exercises but nah it didn’t help. Works for some works for others. Let me just say to anyone reading this who’s never had it it’s an extremely extremely scary thing to go through. Sleeping “fine” and waking up with everything around you tilting left to right , urge to vomit. Wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy

Went through a period of stomach issues, and suddenly developed vertigo. It would happen like clockwork every 6 weeks, very intense, but would only last about 2 minutes. I started on intermittent fasting and started eating sauerkraut and it was over, as easy as that. No vertigo in 3 years.

As you enter menopause, women often get dizzy. It's because these crystals are not dissolving in the right way or are not staying in the right positions in the inner ear. This is due to the fluctuation and decrease of estrogen... Vestibular therapy often helps.... But it's always good to have a natural remedy before you have to go for the physical therapy

Sometimes I have to do them more than once, but eventually I can mellow the spins out enough to manage my day. I have to sleep with my head and body elevated for a week until things fully subside. Taking these vitamins and minerals will now be a permanent part of my supplement course. Thank you very much.

But when I drive past certain streets, inclines, they open up perfectly and then passing thru they close up again. I actually know my eardrums couldn't do that if they were going. If I yawn, they open up during the yawn then close up again. I see a chiropractor and it does help temporarily then returns. Nobody seems to know this possibility. Anxious to prove my point. Thanks again.

I am a line dancer and clog dancer, and I miss class a lot due to this problem. I can’t even go to a salon and lean back in the shampoo bowl ugh. And sex is well, practically nonexistent! This is a curse! I am going to try what you suggested. I have been taking vit d3 6000 iu and k2 daily, as well as 250 mg magnesium at night for a couple of weeks now. Is it ok to take 10,000 iu daily of d3 instead of taking 50,000 iu all at once? That just seems like an awful lot. Also, do I need more magnesium? I really hope this helps!!

Your Vit D suggestion is truly appreciable. It helped me a lot. Thank you. Even if it regains, I restart the Vit D course, and within a couple of days, it gets better.

I know what you mean about the lightening bugs. Here in east Texas we used to have them by the thousands. Then...when my daughter was about 8 years old (she is 32 now) I showed her one. It was the first time I had seen them in many years. I have seen them in recent years but it is inconsistent. I thought maybe it was fire ants that made them disappear. If they to lay eggs in leaves I still wonder if that may also be a factor. Great garden video. You inspire me to do more growing in pots.

Thank you Dr. Berg. I had this problem in my 30s and I was told to take gravol for nausea, as for dizziness, they said you can't do anything about it, you are aging, until one young Dr. taught me the excersise. As for vitemin D, I learned since it helps in absorbing calcium, the smallest amount of food with calcium turned it into excess of calcium in wrong place like middle ears and then further but I didnot know about vitemin K2 that helps to divert this excess calcium back to bones until I learned that through your helpful videos last year. Thank you for this life altering info.

Interesting! I’ve been living with bppv for the last 12 years, also labyrinthitis and vertigo. My otoconias in the left ear go crazy, specially at night if i turn my head to that side. Epley manouver helps a lot, but now i’ll start taking these vitamins and hopefully it’ll get better. Thank you Dr.

Dr Berg it's like you're in my head! I've had issues with this recently - it's horrendous!! Even though I take a high dose of Vit D3, I'm guessing it just may not be enough for me. I'll be experimenting! And watching these other videos you're recommending. You rock, Dr Berg. Keep doing what you're doing!!!

You wouldn't believe it - less than two weeks ago, I got vertigo. Almost fell off the bed. Gave it a couple of days, was intermittent but didn't get better. Went to Doc after a few days, says it's prob caused by a molar infection I'm waiting to get sorted and the crystals, etc. He gives me a document for the exercises and a script for antibiotics in case it doesn't get better. Didn't fill it as I dont like AB. I always take K2 and Magnesium, but I started taking Vit D as I know it aids K2 and my tooth was hurting. 24 hours later no vertigo and no tooth pain. Days later, Dr Berg's video telling me to do just that. Crazy.

This is very true for me, as I used to have vertigo occasionally up till when my vitamin D3 supplement dosage went up from 400 iu towards 5000 iu. Around that time no more head spinnings.. Now I have also included K2 after learning the information form this channel too.

I've had this for many years! It's not as bad as it was a 1st. I'd be sick at least 3 2-3 days straight with each episode! Went to physical therapy to get the maneuver & eye exercises done. It helped but it never completely stopped. I have been taking your vit D/K & also just bought magnesium! So I'm on the right tract. It's HORRIBLE when I get dizzy & nausea for days & can't function! So hope this helps. Thank you Dr Berg

I had dizzy spells my entire life. I wouldn’t be able to get out of bed or even change positions of my head because it’d trigger the dizziness. I started taking vitamins, the same mentioned in the video and I haven’t had the issue in a long time.
