That is a very cool idea! Though I wonder if using a ziploc is the most eco-friendly option for storing & shipping the donations? Maybe recycling plastic bags from stores, etc. is better option? Just a thought. Love the outside the box thinking!

Thank you! The bags we have for storage are being reused all the time and not being thrown away, this is a good use for plastics, it's see-through, waterproof and reusable. When the plastic is single use, it is not as eco-friendly. For donors shipping us hair, we ask that they ship us the hair without rubber bands and any debris, in an envelope or anything reusable is fine too.

Good idea. I always wash and reuse my ziplock bags. haven't bought any in 12+ years.. so maybe use a reused one!

Do you have to pay your own shipping cost? Or at the end did I hear you have a reduced rate shipping. I work at a small business grooming salon and we are looking into being more eco friendly. But obviously have to think about business costs also.
