I used to draw a lot when I was younger but marriage and kid occupied me more 🙂 this app has motivated me to start again, can’t wait to try it 🙂

This is such an elegant app, well done! I love how you demonstrate by using the app to achieve proportion. I encourage people to use it in the same manner. In other words rather than "tracing" an entire picture, simply use the app to keep from creating frankenstein-like out of proportion images. This keeps your drawing from looking static and mechanical and allows your own creativity to shine through.

I found your app completely by accident. . Looking foe fun things to do during lockdow. . I do the complex colouring books but 5 weeks of nothing but thay is getting to me. . I can not draw. . Its just not one of my talents but tour app is amazing and I'm having so much fun doing portraits of my fanily and things like that. Thank tou so much for making such a stunning app.

I just bought the app a couple of days ago. The first time I used it I realized how much it opens up a whole new world of art for me. The first pic was a snapshot of my cat, and that turned out so well that he was easily recognizable. My second pic was Vermeer's "Girl With A Pearl Earring," and that was easy. One thing I just can't get my head around is to zoom (enlarge) the image on the cell phone to get greater detail in my drawing (such as the eyes) and have it still line up exactly where it's supposed to be in the pic. I'm drawing. My "next" experiments will be animals, houses, barns and horses. By then Ill have figured out how to make a large drawing. From that point ( I hope) I'll look up the sizes of various famous pieces of art and draw them on canvas. They'll be fakes, of course, but who wouldn't want to have a Rembrandt, Van Gough's "Starry Night," etc. hanging in their house. I hope your Da Vinci Eye is working out for you.

Am using this app and my drawings are extraordinary,i know all methods for sketches but with this app is super fast and accurate and that is a key for beautiful drawing keep going

Can you spend some time demoing your actual set up to draw the larger images, i have an iPad Pro and I’m looking to see how best to enlarge my images to set up a for a base painting sketch or drawing?

You must include a feature in which the image automatically aligned with the sketch after when we take a break . Hope you get it sir

Hi, I have a problem with ‘recording’. I press Go, and when I finish I press Record once again and even with very simple time it keeps like uploading forever. Any idea? This happens also after I created an account btw.

Wonderful! The grid technique is great I’ve been swithering over purchasing your app for some time, main use would be projecting on to canvas for parts of larger paintings - would this work in that application? I understand canvas would need to remain flat on the floor/table to or is it possible to use a clip/phone holder on my easel if that makes sense? For drawing straight ahead when standing up! Sorry if that was explained terribly!!

Nice app! There's a feature around 10:53 of your video to include in your app.. another toggle switch for your grid settings to not scale with multiple finger touch.

Are there any new tutorials for using an anchor in AR please. I bought your app. Your mum must be super proud of you. I am always so proud of all my three children’s achievements plus their 2 kids each. I would love to know how and why you created this app, was it to aid you in what you do or are you a smart cookie finding what people in different creative styles need? Absolutely brilliant.

Ana Pena hi! If you press settings in the upper right then press grid, there is an option to turn on the grid. Let me know if this helps :)

How do I save my art work at Da Vinci's Eye App to draw along the week (Android)? I think it's easy to restart from the grid dots you made, but how do I save the picture with the grid locked?

If you press the resume button on the main screen it should restore everything. If it doesn't it might be a bug and let me know.

Hi Ana, press Settings (top right) > Grid > Show. You can see this done at 1:14 in this video.

I was worried about the dots, so I wrote the dots on a small piece of paper and put them on the picture. It is convenient because it can be used only when the marks are aligned and can be removed when drawing. There are no black dots left in the picture.

Before I buy this app I would like to know precisely: - 1. How to move the grid without moving the image. And 2. How to move the image without moving the grid. - In your other videos you mention the function AR. What do these two alphabetic characters mean?

Ar stands for augmented reality. It would be easier for you to google a video than for me to explain as a comment. To move the grid, camera, or image press the “Move” button and select grid camera or image. When the move button is unpressed everything is locked together so it stays proportional.

Hi Jesse Thanks for reaching out. The app right now is designed for smaller art work. While you could use it to make a mural the process would be a bit difficult, you would need to mirror your screen to another a monitor. That being said... I am coming out with a new app specifically designed for murals in the near future!

This is an older video, there is a newer video that is much easier to follow. But to answer your question the adjust button is now under “move” then press “grid” and it does the same thing.

Robert Alexander this app is way better than camera lucida! Also on the iOS Apple App Store it is version 3.0 now. Also you can try it and if you don’t like it you can ask for a refund from Apple I think within 48 hours?

In version 1.3.8 the grid and the image doesnt blow up together and doesnt work perfectly so i think version 2.0 is nice one but how to download

This video is confusing because some major steps have been skipped. For instance, what is that little picture you are copying ? It's magically floating above your paper? What is projecting it? How about starting from the beginning so we know what in the world you are doing?
