This video will teach you how to easily beat a Winter Lantern monster from the Abyssal Woods in Elden Ring DLC: Shadow of the Erdtree!
Summary:
- Use a light shield with a parry skill
- Wait for its teleport attack and let it hit you
- Rotate your camera to face behind your back
- Recovery roll to the right once you are hit
- Quickly press forward to align the character with the camera
- Quickly press parry
- After that kill it like any normal enemy

Why is it in all the videos about this no one thinks "hey maybe the shield with an eye on it that actually gives resistance to madness might be a better choice, the one everyone got either as a starting weapon or from an early merchant, the one that is a lighter weight than average for small shields, that one".

i didnt even realise they fully become killable after 1 parry.. fought for my life double parrying these winter lantern ptsd machines.

I used thops barrier or whatever it's called (the sorcery). Took a few tries though, but eventually I got them all killed. This vid is some great tips for folks who are having trouble or haven't done it yet. Wish I knew this way earlier!
