With these official tutorials, you are changing the industry standards. I can see Unigine overtaking a lot of it's alternative in few years.

@UNIGINE_Official4 жыл бұрын
Android is not supported. For cutscenes you can use Tracker tool: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/at1oodubzNbHlWg.html

Can you do skeletal Animations/State machine/blend trees tutorial? Basically animating a skeletal mesh i.e. a character than transitions from idle to run.

Why is there no import option in Unigine 2.15.1 assets browser? The trick is if I just copy the 3D fbx model or object that I have and then I move it to the "data" folder in the Unigine project, so that it can be read in the Unigine Editor software.
@UNIGINE_Official2 жыл бұрын
You can use drag-and-drop your model into the Asset Browser, that should do the thing. Anyway for correct reimport you would need to store the source models inside the data directory.

Is there any chance that person who has only Javascript coding skills can master C# or C++ at level needed to create some simple project in Unigine? Can we expect some coding tutorial in coming months? Great job guys, this tool looks amazing!
@UNIGINE_Official4 жыл бұрын
There is always a chance! But in general, C++ and C# are pretty complex languages.
@bruce_luo4 жыл бұрын
Start with C# and the component system first, coding with Visual Studio or VSCode can get you started relatively quickly with the kind of code completion and error checking JavaScript usually can't give you. Read about the basic syntax, forget about all the special techniques in JavaScript and bring the basics of coding over.

@@bruce_luo Thanks, I'll check if I'm able to master basics of C# at reasonable level first . If so I'll try to dive into Unigine then.

@@UNIGINE_Official I agree ;) Everything is matter of time... Anyway, I will try

Hello, thank you for the tool. We are currently searching for the best engine for a (potential) new rally simulator - does Unigine have a tool / addon for a road system creation, I mean something similar like www.easyroads3d.com/tools.php for Unity? Is it possible to use a custom laserscan data for the precise surface elevation? (currently we use a ShrinkWrap modifier in Blender to wrap a low-poly road onto a highpoly model created from the laserscan data). Thank you!
@UNIGINE_Official4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jan, You can download and try - it would be the fastest way to verify that :) We do support import for FBX / 3DS / OBJ / GLTF (Experimental), so you can prepare your scan and export it from any DCC tool. We also have spline tool built-in, so you can do roads with junctions inside Editor or from code.

The tutorial for the "Arbitrary Terrain - UNIGINE Editor 2 Essentials" was great tho not for the counity verson, then you changed it up with loud ear damaging music and no explainations is a step backward HMHO people, specially those starting out need to understand why things are done I believe. So much is left out in this type of so called tutorial. not all of us can chase a mouse at light speed and read the text too and understand whats going on and why

Z should be depth .. Y up and X horizontal.. it makes more sense .. why every 3D application mess this up 😴. We all know a 2D dimension is X and Y
