You are on point with all of your videos. Would it be wise when requesting a W-9 from your new carrier to ask them to make sure that they fill it in, and sign it without dating it so that you can have this in your record and each time you need to send it to a Broker all you have to do it just date it?

Yes, I can talk about that. I, myself, do not send invoices on behalf of carriers. Only for the trucks that run under my own MC#

So on page 11 of the agreement where it says "carrier initials" do I put MY initials or my carrier's initials? On the Hold Harmless agreement, do I sign my own name as the authorized signature? And on page 13 where it says "by" and where it asks for address, is that the dispatcher address and EIN or the carrier's info? I'm sorry if that's a silly question. I just want to make sure I am not overstepping my bounds legally. Thanks so much for your time.

You don't use any of your information except for your own signature and your own initials. You are giving them carrier's info but since you have power to sign for them, you use your own signature and initials.

I would highly recommend one. You may not need it every day, but it will come in handy.

I have two questions. 1:Once we put all carrier information on the packet. Shall we need to send packet through dispatcher email or use carrier email?. 2: shall we fill in any information about the dispatching company.

1. You can send through your dispatcher email. 2. No information needed from the dispatcher packet except for you signature. Also, the may ask for carrier's approval to book loads on their behalf

Also, why don't they just have a universal carrier profile database that carriers can keep updated and brokers can access (and then just require quick signatures) instead of brokers and dispatchers having to do this each time? You'd think in 2022 they'd have a more streamlined approach to this... but then I guess this tedious process is job security for me. 😄

It would have to be a scanned image in PDF format. You can use Genius Scan or Cam Scam apps. They are free

I had a small problem that day with my audio set up and I realized that only after I recorded 3 or 4 videos. So you may hear that in those particular videos, but now it's fixed. Thanks for pointing that out

You need to send an invoice to your carrier for the percentage of the gross amount your charging them.
