To retrieve a specific gene from NCBI, first you will need to head over to NCBI’s website. Then select “Gene” from the “All Databases” drop down menu right next to the Search Bar. Write the name of the gene you want to retrieve in the Search Bar and click on Search. NCBI will then retrieve that specific gene for you. In this case we chose the LCT gene which is the gene for lactose intolerance.
