Update: David's jacket is no longer considered and "iconic" item, so I'd recommend waiting if you want the gear to be tier 5 since it can't be upgraded.

The Guts shotgun is one of the most insane weapons in the game. Hits like a truck going Mach 5 and you can feel it too with the recoil. The crazier thing is that it's one of the legendary/iconic guns you can get so early. It's gonna be out-DPSing every gun you have and will get until lategame.

I wish I had watched Edgerunners first before playing the game. I started playing a few weeks ago so all the Edgerunners stuff has already been added. Since I haden't watched the show yet, I thought the Edgerunners logo on the wall was just random graffiti. I also I didn't know who David Martinez was so I was just confused. Now that's I've finished the game and the show, I'm kinda bummed that I didn't have a clue that I found what was probably the biggest Edgerunners easter egg in the game. I would have probably shit my pants if I got that call from Falco and knew who he was.

The shotgun is still OP. Take out 2 or 3 enemies with one shot. I wear the jacket with the samurai shirt with the dog tags silverhands pants and just some combat boots. Love cyberpunk. I just got back to it cause I went day and night on the game 😂. I’m gonna try to 100 percent it even with the achievements. I’m glad the devs never gave up on the game. The fact that they kept trying to make it work is what made me keep going back.

2.0 dropped today, they legit added a perk called "Edgerunner" in the Tech Tree, and it is a picture of David at the top of the tree. It allows you to go over your Cyberware capacity a certain number of points, but decreases your health by 0.5 for every point over your cap. You won't go psycho, but it will feel like it.

I just love how Edgerunners became canon in the game. Especially since the the show is based on the world of CP2077 but like an Alternative universe. I wish we would had received the second DLC before getting canned.
