Thank you for posting! I have the same issue and tried superglue with raffia wrapped around the connection , It broke on the first pull. I'm going to use your fix!

That is exactly what happened to my pull, same style!! I have been looking for 3 replacement pulls but none are the right width on this piece that was made in China. Is the 8/32 screw good across the board or is there a way to have the nub that broke off measured at the hardware store? Oh, they have that graduated holey thing (template) don't they??? I don't have al the tools but I think I know someone who does. I know Ace hardware will cut off the screw head for me and smooth off any rough edges. Genius!!! Thank you so much from a DIY woman.

I have been trying to figure out how to fix one of these. Thank you! I don't have a workshop. any ideas how I can have someone do it for me?
@2LateIWon3 жыл бұрын
Honestly I'm not to sure. Ask some friends or.....i don't know. A machine shop could do it but cost effectively probably not. Now would be a good excuse to invest in some basic tools. The cool thing is After you get this fixed you get to keep the tools. Now you're ready for the next project at hand. Thanks for watching

Do you have any ideas on how to get handles like this off? I have an antique writing bureau. I am trying to get it off, and it has no screws, I’ve took the backing off both of them but it still seems to be bolted on there.

Great but who has these tools. 🙄

Well, here is my problem, there isn't anything to drill through. The tab that broke off was just welded or formed with the end of the pull. I would have to drill off the remainder of that tab then have a new tab welded on the narrow pull back. Rats. Who would do that if, in fact, it can be done? I would include a picture but don't think I can?

Wow! Great job! I'm temporarily lodging at my uncle home. He's a particular one about his things (example: he does not place leftover food in containers. He just makes room in the fridge for the cookware... fuss box 🙄..). Now, this🥴, I'm hoping I can get someone to repair it at Lowes/Home Depot. I'm not comfortable with doing it, although I feel that I'm capable. Wish me luck! At whatever I choose to do.😬🫰
