How to Fix iPhone 8 Rear Camera Not Working - Motherboard Repair.
iphone 8 camera not working.how to fix an iPhone 8 rear camera won’t work.
First of all, we think the rear camera itself has been faulty; hence we replace it with a new one. However, the problem remains the same.
Then we think that it must be the motherboard that is faulty, so we test the voltage of the main camera connectors, and along with their diode readings. It turns out the voltage has been abnormal but all diode readings are OK. We conclude that the U3700 camera IC must has been faulty, so we replace it with a new one.
Finally, the rear camera works again.

You’re really doing a good job, my 8 plus having the same problem I replaced the cam still no avail I think there’s something wrong with the motherboard, And must be a lot of work that I won’t want to risk my 8 plus 😣😫

Have same iPhone behavior. In Instagram rear camera works, but not focusing. Flash stays on, but picture with flash errors out. Rear camera module gets very hot. Was that iPhone rear camera also very hot?

Hello, maybe you can help me figure out if I need to go this deep. I just updated to iOS 15. I now get a black rear camera, & the flashlight doesn’t work when turned on. However, the rear camera will come on in 2X, while video stays black. The flash does work with photos on when on 2X, but they are kind of blurry too? There has been a scratch on my lens for a while, & it has never been a problem as I can only assume it’s not in the picture frame thankfully. Any help would be much appreciated. I’m capable, & willing to change the assembly if needed, but I kind of think it’s a bug. I’ve tried every setting change, or simple trick I can think of with no luck yet. Thank you 🙏🏼.

@@karlakayefalsario5317 Well, I wish I could help. Soft & hard reset were useless. Settings reset was failure. Going to do a complete wipe soon. If that doesn’t work, or there’s no patch I’m gonna be opening her back up.

Well I have the same issue today, I'm using iPhone 8 but yesterday it works fine, it's running iOS 15.1, did a hard reset but still not working, also, the front cam works

8:59, you see he just put the rear camera by itself to test. So camera was swinging around at the back. If in the housing it should be okay.

Would u3700ic also control the flash and front camera. I have iPhone 8 and both cameras and flashlight don’t work. Just black screen. Already updated reset iOS.
