I’ve been woodburning for 25 years and yet I feel that we can always benefit from others experience and knowledge. For the first 15+ years that I burned, there by was virtually nothing out there for pyrography. I felt I was all on my own and it was learning by trial and ERROR. And yet I’ve always loved the art form. I love how this has grown over these past few years. And you Aney, have been a wonderful part of this. Thank you for sharing your teaching skills and talent. I have done some teaching and videos for a small number. This is not as easy as you make it look. Your videos inspire. Keep up the good work! “Burn” on!😉

Pro Tip- After sanding with whatever grains you choose, hit the piece with compressed air. This gets all residual dust particles removed from the face and edges of your piece. This is particularly useful on live edge pieces, removing the dust from the live edge can be tedious. Nice video!

Very good. Do you sand it after burning or finish it with something? Doesn't burnt part stain?

I’m new to this but very interested in starting you say low heat is it a number on the dial that you usually do for low heat? If so, can you tell me about where to put on low heat? I love your videos. Thank you so much.

'Tis funny that as you were burning and flecks of char were popping off your work, I found myself automatically blowing at the screen to remove them...😂

GRAPHITE paper makes better transfers that CARBON paper which is harder to get the design off, can smudge and be hard to erase.

Hello... I just discovered you. You are doing exactly the good work I was looking for. I will follow you. I want to do this too. I don't have a machine yet. What tool do you think I should get? For a start, of course. Thank you very much. Have a nice day...

Hey Puzzle man! I would start with a brass tip kit like the truart or walnut hollow. If you decide you want to keep going in wood burning, you can always upgrade later.

It would be so nice to say at what temp you are using . I just started yesterday, and no clue, I’m trying ! Nothing is smooth, looks horrible. Help I would like to make a descent looking letter
@Pyrocrafters
@Pyrocrafters Жыл бұрын
Hey JW! Start at a lower temp and adjust as needed. Burning at a lower temp will give you more control. I typically don’t mention heats because there are so many different burners with different setting types and they so t all line up for viewers. But I generally outline at a low-medium heat so I can go slow and control my lines. Also, don’t get discouraged. If you’re brand new, it will take some time for you to build a relationship with the heat and the wood so you can get the results you want. Keep practicing and it will get easier to get these crisp lines.
