Journelling is amazing! It isn’t just a release of feelings, but I have found the benefit to read back on journal entries and remind myself of the pain, but also why I made the choices I did and also to see how far I have come. Even a year later, I still go through periods of thinking it is me.

Thank you, Ben. I found Lee Hammock when I was hurting and then I found you and you have both helped me tremendously. As one who was on the heartbroken, trauma-bonded, thought I wanted to die from the discard side of things, I can honestly say God has brought me to the other side and I am happy, joyful, and most importantly, FREE from wanting him back. Thank you so much for being a part of my victory.

This makes much more sense now. Ok. I get it. If you could see the bright lightbulb that just went off over my head…it really is encouraging

Wow--this just gave me a major epiphany. I just got scammed recently (everyone be SO careful!! Mine was an Amazon gift card scam!); but hearing this I realize my narc used so many similar mind-twisting strategies. For SIX years, I was similarly 'scammed'! And I know why I've not been able to see it--seeing it degrades one's faith and trust in humanity and oneself, and that is so heart wrenchingly hard to come to terms with. That a person will just use and twist another person like that.

The aging Narcissist will wonder (example) why his/her children never visit them. Early days with my ex Narc: I would avoid his phone calls because I knew he would start abusing. Feel that "avoiding" mode.... that's what helped me walk away for GOOD.

I only found out yesterday that I had a relationship with a narcissist 11 years ago. He had love bombing me and I didn't know what was happening to me. Ultimately he broke off the relationship and the reason never sat well with me. Now I realize that deep down I now know that it was not the real reason. We broke up during the love bombing period and I found that so difficult to understand because "everything felt good" and I realize that there was trauma bonding. It is the story you tell yourself and that determines your truth. Thank you for the video

The first thing I do is face the truth and my reality and face things head on. I do things each day for myself and become content in my own company. When I go out I am the cheerful chatty person that makes me me and I sometimes feel that smile inside. When the pain comes at the most unexpected at times I'm not staid to feel it or cry wherever I am, but I try to keep composed. 🍒

This is one of the best Videos Ben! Thank you so much! But it wasn’t that bad……maybe it was me…….now I understand why journaling is so important! It is hard for me to see what was the truth!

I'm right there with you. Thinking maybe I was the narcissist or maybe I just demanded to much. Thank goodness when I was feeling crazy I would leave myself little notes as to what was happening and what I was going through at those moments. Very enlightening.

@@ambernordquist363 yes, an awkward feeling to feel so insecure of oneself. If I, as an empath, would make a person feel insecure or anxious etc. I would do anything to make sure the person feels safe and confident again. For the narcissist it is all about control.

Very powerful. I'm finally transitioning from understanding what happened to my body to rewiring my circuitry. This quiet in my head is something I've never experienced. It's a little uncomfortable due to my brain always being in vigilant mode for over 35 years.

I've been in a metastasis since years. I'm still not sure he's not still stealing stuff, it's just annoying. Good 2-3 years of NC though minus his yard hoovers. I am lucky in he doesn't want to be seen.
