I don't know how to get rich in the military, but I can tell you how to get thousands a month of tax free compensation afterwards (VA BENEFITS!). My suggestion is to go active duty, document all of your medical issues (without trying to get out of PT, deployments, work, don't be that guy) while you’re in. When you get out use the GI Bill and get the VA compensation benefits that are the best kept secret that they don't tell you when you’re in. I was fortunate to have a Navy corpsman make sure that we were documenting ALL symptoms and injuries (no matter how small). The VA will literally compensate you for things like allergies, IBS, headaches, mild back pain, etc. You don't have to have to be missing your legs to get VA compensation. You can have a plurality of conditions that add up (using VA math) collectively to get higher ratings up to 100% P&T. Benefits include monetary monthly tax-free compensation that starts at a 10% rating, BX/PX, commissary, and MWR base access at a 0% rating, free VA health care that starts at a 50% rating, free college for dependents at 100% P&T, free CHAMPVA for dependents at 100% P&T, DIC for spouses, and depending on your state (CA, TX, FL, etc.)... you may qualify for a 100% property tax exemption. Also, ALL monetary compensation is matched to annual social security COLA increases. There are also so many other benefits as well. You can still get VA compensation if you are in the National Guard or the reserves, you just need to have been activated for a period of time and be able to service connect medical conditions while activated. If you’re getting out or have been out for 20 years, stop by a VSO office (their services are free) and they'll let you know what your options are and point you in the right direction. The best decision I ever made, I just got 100% P&T two months ago. It's not a quick process but I was able to wrap it up in a little less than than two years. Some vets can get it take care of in less than a year if they don't have to appeal or file additional claims. Best of luck to all who are joining or are already out!

I love this! Needs to be talked about more, but I’m probably going to read this to my people for their situational awareness. Thanks!

@SSS-bd6li 11 ай бұрын
Please do...I was in combat, but too many vets that I meet are under the assumption that they can't get VA benefits because they didn't deploy which is completely not true. There are also presumptive beneifts that don't requrire medical documentation while in service (i.e., allergies/headaches/IBS, etc. if deployed in certain geographical locations, tinnitus for occupations like infantry, artillery, aircraft mechanics, dental techs using drills, etc., muscular skeletal for airbourne, etc.). There's a lot more that is offered, but in my opiniion this is without a doubt the single greatest benefit that the US military provides.

Great info! I enlisted way back after high school then spent years taking college courses at night pre-internet classes. Once I graduated with bachelor’s degree, I applied to become officer. Everyone in the service is given BAH so I used it to purchase then rented them out when it was time to pcs. Get your degree(s) while still in the service so when you ETS/retire, you can still use your GI bill. Now, I need to use my Hilton free night at Waldorf Astoria in deubai palms:). Thanks and Keep up the great work!

A person can have $250k in the bank and lose it by making a few mistakes. However if a person has $25M in the bank it would take a lot more destructive intention over a much longer time to lose it. This is the difference between rich and wealthy. They’re simply not the same.

What I would do is through high school so jortc to have a higher rank starting out then using va to get as many rental properties then putting every dollar in a personal investment account so you can grow you many then when you get out of the military you would be making tons of money and having loads in savinga

How much money do you suggest I should save prior to shipping to boot camp? I have an emergency fund but currently saving money for a car after i get to my first duty station.
@NobleCredit
@NobleCredit 2 ай бұрын
A non-issue, a lot of people join the military with zero money. Try to make it a reliable vehicle that you would keep for 10-15+ years. Get rid of the car payment as soon as possible. If you can put a down payment down great, but I suggest having money saved for housing expenses if you purchase a home, then come back to the car to pay a lump sum of it later.

Is it a bad idea to buy a investment property during the first year of being in the military?
@NobleCredit
@NobleCredit Жыл бұрын
It’s generally going to be a good idea to start early on building your investment portfolio, but not every investment property is a good investment. You’ll have to do some research on the area and on your cash flow calculations. There are a lot of factors that requires a whole other video to go into detail about

Yes and no, base pay for a recruit is way too low for you to barely quailify for anything in terms of real estate. In other words, can't afford it. But if you truly move real qucik through the ranks at the point were you get BAH and BAS (Allowance for housing in which it varies of zip code, BAS is money for food) , its take off from there. Now, if you are coming in married, with dependents or as an officer than you pretty much almost qualify for BAH and BAS.

Bout to be 19, Would you recommend to join it just for those types of benefits? Willing to sacrifice a few years
@NobleCredit
@NobleCredit 5 ай бұрын
Yes and no. If you’re trying to become a doctor or some specialty scientist, then the military thing would get in your way. Or if you come from a boat load of money then your family can typically afford for you to not join. If those aren’t true, I recommend only joining for certain jobs. For instance, I wouldn’t want to do any other job in the military except for mine. If you’re serious about joining, then the military is offering nice incentives $$$$$ to get you to sign on, also if you link with me and join, they are offering referral bonuses as well and I can help guide you every step of the way

@@NobleCredit I like your idea im currently a senior in HS in LA, i have been doing dual enrollment at my local community college so far I have a year done I was planning on joining after I complete my associates and do the remaining in the AF. literally the only reason I want to join is because of the reasons you mentioned in the video and dont see an opportunity buying a house in CA if I just stick to the generic stuff. but i also want to join with a plan and invest all my money while im in there and not just join to run and hide from my problems and be stupid with my money so i could literally do the minimum of years required and then get out of it.

Could you invest in day trading and start a business while active duty in the army???
@NobleCredit
@NobleCredit 7 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t recommend day trading, but if you’re good at it go for it. Yes you can start a business while in the army
@MasterVader512
@MasterVader512 11 күн бұрын
you can day trade, nothing can really stop you, do only thing that can kind of get on your way is your work flow. Really depends how busy your day is it and what type of job you have. I've seen some people do absolute nothing and have a job once or twice a week, with a lot of free time, but also ive seen people have extremly busy lives and barely get time for themselves other than when you are done with work (just described myself lol). Same goes for business, really depends what type of business, if its a remote type of business and with that I had just explained about having a lot of free time or having busy day.
