In order to get to Siwa Oasis (and a bunch of other destinations) by bus, travelers will need to buy tickets and board their bus at Turgoman, or Cairo Gateway Plaza, bus station. This station can be tricky to find, though! In this video, Gus shows you how to easily get to Turgoman using public transportation and walking the rest of the way.

@@EgyptAdventuresTravel thank you for answering so fast! We have another question, how did you do to come back by bus? We can’t find that information anywhere but people told us that there is no bus the way back everyday…do you know anything about it?

@@karinebittencourtdasilva5791 as of March 2021 when I did this trip there were daily buses to Cairo and Alexandria. Tickets could only be purchased day-of (make sure you ask them what time the ticket window opens and be sure to be there a few minutes before then in case there is a queue). The bus back to Cairo left around 11am.

@@cillacilla883 I should make a video next time I’m in Siwa! Luckily the bus station there is easy to find. The only annoying thing is they do not sell tickets in advance-you just need to show up day-of and hope the ticket seller is in the booth to get your ticket!
