I have a 2 year old established 24x48x8 inch frag tank custom designed by Poseidon Creations. I have Sterbai, Peppered, and Pygmy Corydoras as well as Amanos and Red Cherry Shrimp. Enjoy!

Interesting tank dimensions... it gives a lot of bottom surface area for the corydoras! Thanks for showing it!

awesome tech and setup, interesting dimensions ... evaporation must be crazy tho. Only thing which I think is a poor choice is duckweed as floating plant. salvinia auriculata/natans is better at soaking up elements you want to be gone from the water and it has longer roots which shrimps love to be in. And its easier to manage in general. Also missed opportunity to not include a sandbox area for the Corydoras, from my experience they prefer sand/fine gravel over those plant substrates.

Thanks for commenting! I lose about 3 gallons in a week. It’s not too bad. Also duckweed wasn’t a “poor choice”. They’re extremely invasive and I have a very hard time removing them. They just keep growing no matter what I do. And the corydoras, the substrates are fine as long as they are soft and do not have solid edges. But I do have substrates mixed with sand. They’re both black so it blends in.

@@thecallofshrimp try a patch salvinia, it has a fair chance competing and displacing duckweed. Living duckweed free for years now ... Not a guarantee ofc, but in my case it seemed salvinia simply starved the duckweed using its root advantage ... the duckweed turned yellow and shriveled away as the salvinia patches expanded all around it. Ofc that only works as long as you dont have other plants which need a lot of fertilizer in the water column. But as the rest is planted in soil that shouldnt be the case for you.

That's a cool concept. I love your setup! I hear the 2.0 plant has more powerful than the 3.0

I misrepresented. I apologize for that. I have a plant 3.0 LED.

@@thecallofshrimp no worries, 3.0 is a fantastic light. I have one myself.

Do you inject co2 and if you do what ya weekly water change
@thecallofshrimp4 ай бұрын
Hey what’s up man, no I don’t use co2 injections. I do use daily Seachem excel. I also don’t do weekly change in the big aquarium but do monthly 25% change. What I do weekly though is top off with RODI to account for humidity loss.

@@okan578567 that’s okay! Basic or whatnot, you have to start somewhere. Do you have any fishes or shrimp?
