It's not the shelf. Stick and a level on the square tube and you will see. I've seen others struggle with the wire shelf having an extra round bar welded on the outside edge. Your plywood is resting on that and then sags in the middle to reach the places where there is no extra wire.
@thecallofshrimpАй бұрын
What should I do? Get thicker plywood?
@lowellgutknecht6234Ай бұрын
@@thecallofshrimp Option 1) Cut off the wire. AQUAPRO has your same issue. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z8eAe8aBydm-cp8.htmlsi=8xTOjQafmIvSVyjf 2) Remove the wire rack and just place thicker wood there. 3) Cut your wood to fit in-between the width of the two wires you would have cut off. Probably the easiest solution if you don't have a grinder and don't want to spend money. Less aesthetic appeal though. If you're really good with a skill saw you can just cut out a groove there the depth of the wire so you get end to end length.

1. Great Start with your video's, quality is not bad. 2. Ancistrus sp. 183 pleco are poop machines, I use to breed L144, Calicos and recently picked up a few L181 (peppermint) very similar to L183 but white seem does fall away. I feed 1/4 of a zucchini a day, I will vacuum the bare bottom every 2nd day. taking out about +-10% / 20L each time. 3. also drift wood is helpful, as they graze on them, if you feed just greens, you will see the poop light green, with drift wood, they turn completely brown / black.
@thecallofshrimp2 ай бұрын
Wow thank you very much for the feedback and advice. What are your water parameters and I reckon you have a 50 gal? I will also add driftwood today. Do you also boil zucchini or just add raw?

I have an 4ft (63 Gallon / 240L)dedicated tank for 6 of them, my water is 7.2 (they really don't need RO/DI and keeping them at 26c but we moving into autumn so I will soon bump that temp up and have an 2nd heater in. With regards to zucchini, go raw, organic, but if unsure, peal off the skin and use a fork and stake it to keep it at the bottom, do not blanch them cos they do decompose quick, you will notice unfinished one will become mushy, which you must remove next day anyway. if you don't your tank will go slimy and yellow and clog everything. every other day I will throw in algae wafers but they are just not interested and will 99% go for the fresh zucchini @lofshrimp

@thecallofshrimp3 ай бұрын
Thanks for asking! So it really depends on your style and what works for you. Some master breeders do not change water. They just fill the top on the humidity loss with RODI water. Some others do 10-20% change weekly. I just fill the top with RODI water and occasionally add GH+. It really depends on how it works for you.

@thomaxtube3 ай бұрын
Some people, including me, like to keep ecosystem style tanks where there is enough plants to hide in and clean the water and enough fry from shrimp and guppies to afford to lose a few to small adult fish in there, this way as the populations will grow it’s less likely to become overstocked. Plus small fish add interest to the aquarium by swimming higher up in the water column than shrimp alone. Of course shrimps alone is best if one wants to have maximum number of them, but that happens in-time as, if the water parameters stay good. They will fill the tank eventually or find a balanced number of populations that do well there.

I keep mine below ph 6 as well with ADA Amazonia. Theyre quite hardy compared to other caridina shrimps in my experience. RO water + GH mineralizer to get 90 - 110ppm tds. My aquarium room is maintained around 22degC. Don’t worry about ammonia in low ph and temp tank. You do need bacteria and lots of biofilm when starting a tank. P.S: idk why but you sounds nervous. It is like I’m listening to a job interview.

@thecallofshrimp4 ай бұрын
How old are your Cory and pleco? Are they sexually mature? If yes, You need to feed them heavily , especially high protein for Corydoras everyday. How much flow do you have in your water? Increase your water flow. You have to “condition” them to trigger. Males will start chasing the female frantically until they form a t position. As for plecos, they have to be mature and around 2 years in or so after they show their Bristle . The key for them is to give them a one way caves and a lot of hiding spots

@thecallofshrimp oh thays unfortunate. I personally use ada amazonia and dose black extract (humic amd fluvic acid) salt shrimp and bright well makes some. I find under ph 6 helps a lot for fancier caridina. Ada lasts a lot longer than fluval and I find fluval a bit too light for planting. But I've also heard a few people with success with fluval stratum also. Wish you success!! You'll get them breeding

@@RWAquariumPages thank you so much bro. How long do you usually cycle ADA? I’m going to let it cycle for about a month due to ammonia. I’m learning about cation exchange capacity, is this why you’re supplementing humid acid?

@thecallofshrimp anytime. Usually ada for me takes 2 months or a weeks for ammonia to all release. I use humic and fluvic acid for a few reasons but one is it naturally drops the ph safely below 6.
