this vid was so helpful, i had pain which I thought was my shoulder but it was the tricep tendon near my elbow, simple massaging of this area helped a lot.

thank you soo much for your useful video. I actually was tired of visiting doctors, who without doing much examination gave me medicine and couldn't subside my pain. Hey Bob and Brad: When I ride a road bike with my hands in the Hoods position, my upper arms hurt. Is this the problem? I have been dealing with it by riding with my hands in the hooks (which rotates my hands 90 degreese).

As a fitness rider for 20+ years....do not put any weight on you arms whether on top or in the drops. Instead transfer the load balance to your abdomen muscles. This way you wont be squirrelly when riding. Remember, no weight on the handlebars. Ride with 2 fingers on each hand on the top bars until you get the hang of it.

I’m not sure what the clinical term is but this tricep tendinitis is ungodly painful. Well, let me walk that back a little bit. I’ve had way worse injuries but this one is so darn nagging and it constantly radiates with a moderate to severe ache. I get recurrent tricep injuries, particularly tendinitis and I’ve learned the following: I don’t know what the mechanism of action is but deep and often painful massaging of the tendon (as shown here) absolutely, 100% speeds up the recovery of the injury. It would take up to a month for this to spontaneously resolve until I learned these massage techniques and this drastically decreases recovery time 2) NSAIDs and acetaminophen together will offer transient relief. Please note that NSAIDs in particular or not good long-term options and some people with kidney and liver issues and G.I. issues will not be able to take them 3) highly bioavailable forms of turmeric (such as BCM-95) taken at the correct dosages are godsons for treating chronic tendinosis. This is also true of cissus and boswellia. Please note that the extract form and the dosage are very relevant here. But when you are using the correct forms of these herbs in high enough amounts they will offer close to 90% pain relief. Using that combination of those three keeps me from having to use any prescription or over-the-counter NSAIDs 4) if you are willing to look into gray area stuff, there are some peptides that have anecdotes that are absolutely unbelievable for treating chronic tendon injuries.
