As a side note, Etsy really needs to fix one aspect of the whole review process. I'm not only a seller, but I love to support other Etsy sellers by purchasing from them whenever possible. The problem is if I purchase multiple, but different items from the same seller in one order, Etsy basically forces us to leave at least five words in reviews for every single item. They need to have some kind of blanket review option for the total order. Otherwise, saying pretty much the same thing about every single item in separate reviews just makes the reviews look kind of scammy. Especially if I ordered a dozen or more items. I can't be the only buyer who dislikes this.

This would also save sellers from a customer leaving multiple, 1 star reviews on one sale of multiple items

Just FYI - If you have an iPhone, when doing a review - I think it’s the second set of options after you do the stars - just pull down on the screen and it lets you submit without words.

Maybe on an iPhone, but not on an android or on desktop. It's effing annoying, even on a single item, to write five words in praise of the thing you bought. It sounds trite. Does the seller really care?

@Brand Creators : On the topic of niches: I really love drawing floral things (plants, flowers, bees, etc.) and other nature-related things. It would be for POD at least to start. Maybe expand it by even dipping into the spiritual side (many people who like crystals also like plants for example). I don't know if this would count as a niche and if so what to call it. Maybe nature lovers? Floral? Would like some advice. I have so many ideas that don't all necessarily fit into one singular thing but I know will likely have to trim out some of them and declare a main focus, I just don't know what exactly that would be.

The title is clickbait, you cannot REMOVE Etsy negative reviews, the only one that can do that is the customer that made the review. The only solution that actualy works (although not 100%) is to swallow your pride, talk with the customer, and just refund them, no matter how ridiculous their complaint is. It might cost you in the short run but negative reviews hurt you much more in the long run.

That's not entirely accurate, some negative reviews can be removed by Etsy. I would not refund a negative review unless it was warranted. Doing so doesn't guarantee that the review will be removed or updated by the buyer anyway... I like to use negative reviews to showcase my customer service skills and to educate potential buyers about the item.

All you’re doing by refunding someone that left you a negative review is rewarding bad behavior & encouraging them to continue that behavior. Not saying that everyone who leaves a negative review is behaving badly as some bad reviews are warranted but if they left you a crappy review because they didn’t do their due diligence & read the provided information (which happens quite often) all you’re doing is encouraging them to continue their self entitled behavior. I have stopped pandering to these people & put my energy toward the happy customers. It aggravates me to see only replies to negative customer reviews - it’s basically saying “the unhappy customers are our priority” when it should be the other way around.
