The triple beat is the 5th punching pattern I teach on the speed bag. For beginners, especially non boxers the triple beat is extremely complicated. I’ve found the controlled forward roll wis a much easier way to teach beginners where the sweet spot is on the ball. They learn to control the ball before learning to hit the ball.

So I just watched your speed bag tutorial an I really liked how u explained it. Plus when u messed up. Made it entertaining an fun to watch. My question is my son is 7 and is all about learning to box. My question is I just bought him a speed bag set up an is this a beginners tool. If not what do u recommend for a 7 year old beginner. He also has a flex bag also.

My first time using a speed bag I was around 10 and I SUCKED but was obsessed with it but by the time I was 11 or so I was able to hit the bag better then my buddy who had the speedbag lol

Spot on, the reason Coach was messing up was because he kept going faster. Speed bag is all about consistency I'm sure Coach don't want to put up a 15 minute video of him just hitting the speedbag.
