Coach JR….I appreciated this lesson on the speed bag. Clear presentation. Concise. And, with plenty of room to grow with the skills you taught. Well done. Thank you.

If your gunna coach then get your speedbag at the correct height to your height. That height youve got it at is not the correct height to be comfortable to the average person. It may be comfortable for you, but in theory thats way too high. The bottom of the bag should be in line with your chin so the centre of the bag is same height as your head for comfortable in line punching.

Thank you for your feedback Phillip, way I see it both ways aren't bad at all. When I teach it, my aim isn't necessarily for comfort but for shoulder endurance as they are doing it. I found that if the bag is too low or "comfortable" especially when youre teaching beginners, they intend to get lazy or subconsciously drop their hands faster. I adjust as I teach. Whatever works for you is fine .

Great video! Simple and to the point. But I agree bag seems a bit high. I hit the bag at the gym and it’s high so I tend to struggle cuz I’m reaching too high. Does anyone hit the bag foot rise support?

How do you like the swivel that came with this mount? Some have said it's not great. Trying to decide between one bag and a swivel (title) upgrade, OR two sized bags and no swivel upgrade. What would you recommend for a beginner? I pick up on things quickly, and use a double end bag and aquabag. Thanks for your great video!

Hi. I actually like the swivel that came with it. If properly maintained it performs really well. I've had it for 7 years now and still performs in excellent condition (DW 40 spray every 2 weeks). I've train other brands and still prefer this. I suggest you keep using this one for now. When you get better at it, then you'll see if you'll need to switch it up according to your preference

That's not a problem, just make sure it's lose and doesn't squeak so your rhythm doesn't get interrupted
