My coach mentioned I need to improve more explosive movement in the courts although I was training by myself doing some forward lunges and squat jump. So, I was trying to find more exercises which are more functional and I found you! Thank you Greg and Jenny!!

Thank you so much for demonstrating how to train, which I am sure would benefit many of us. I look forward to more such videos from you.

Thank you for sharing this! Really appreciate both the demo and showing how its applied in game by showing footage. Given you've recommended 12 reps each @ 3 sets, how long rest should be in between set or exercises? Also, how often do you recommended this set of exercises is done? Thank you again for sharing your knowledge and experience :)

Thank you - we're glad it was helpful! 😊 We would suggest you rest enough so that you have normal breathing, as we want to mainly focus on strength + explosive power. This duration will be different for different people (for us we would say around 30s in between each exercise). In a regular week of training (before the lockdown) we would do this kind of circuit around 1x per week as we are doing lots of jumping on court so we are careful not to overload our muscles. However in the lockdown we have been doing jumps more regularly, up to 3x per week! Hope this helps 😄

HIIT-cardio will develop fast-twitch muscle fibres and is the best way to increase VO2max (oxygen efficiency [STAMINA]). Plyometric training will allow you to traverse the court in fewer steps, increasing energy efficiency. Perfect your footwork by practicing footwork drills. The better your technique, the more energy efficient your movement. The Holy Trinity: *HIIT, PLYOs, FOOTWORK*

Slowly building up your training duration is a great way to improve your match endurance. Also make sure you are training at a high intensity, and not just playing matches at your 100% effort!
