At 2:33 of the video, she marks the holes onto the tile, but the mounting flange is NOT concentric with the nipple. You can also see that at 3:41 the drill holes are below the centerline of the nipple, but amazingly, at 3:50 it looks right. At 5:21 you can see how badly it lines up with the hole that she drilled. Also, she says that she's not going to use the arm to tighten it (and that you should use an adjustable wrench to tighten it that 'last little bit'), but that's exactly what she does.

I’m a GC and as far as I know the word stringer is used only for staircase framing. Specifically the framing members underneath that hold the risers and treads. I think you mean blocking or studs.

How high above the stove should you place your pot filler??

Hello Asha! We do not have a recommended distance above the stove, for model 1190LFL. I have included a link to the technical specifications diagram, for you to refer to during the installation. media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-K-1190LF%20Rev%20A.pdf With any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us again. -Carrie

And the "appropriate drill bit" is what? Looks like you used a diamond hole saw and NOT a drill bit! NO WAY can this be anchored to just the drywall. YOU assume there is a stringer! Look at some of the other KZfaq videos and you will NOT see a stringer; they installed the rough-in for the pot filler WRONG! Your rough-in is great! They don't understand the purpose of the flange and set screws is to transfer the faucet load into the wall and off off the water pipe, and mistakenly use the 1/2 inch water pipe to support the faucet! Use the drill to run the screws in. If you cannot control the drill, have someone else do the job! Why are there TWO valves. Does that get the water to flow faster; just kidding! Why did you mount it so high above the slide in stove? Makes lots of splash into a 2 quart pan at that height. Only needs to be 1/2 inch above tallest pot on the burner. How did you tighten the brass nipple, which should stick out 1/2 inch, into the drop-ear? By using an internal pipe wrench (see Brasscraft). The water pipe could be a bit above 10.5 inches; the height of a Samsung stove with its own backsplash. Have a nice day! FYI that kitchen looks JUST LIKE MY PLANNED KITCHEN! Even got the same range hood and will have a slide in stove, but the drill; nope, get the model with indicators on the batts. Should mention outlet must be ground fault; required by code if now is close to faucet. Finally, too bad we cannot see the rough-in! How many homes ALREADY have a pot filler? Have a nice day Delta!

A bit late on a reply here, but regarding height there are a few things, perhaps others, can consider. Get out your tallest pot and make it part of the installation plan. Before I installed mine I read reviews on splash. My valve is 11 & 1/2 inches above the cook top and it works perfectly. Also if there is a splash problem, that is where the second valve will come in handy. Set it to regulate the max flow you want, and use the other for on/off. Getting back to height, also consider that all pot fillers have gaskets in them. I suspect the heat may likely influence their age, so its best to balance your decision when you do the install and not have it too low either. Overall, ours has been in over three years and we love it.

the diamond drill bit holes are way too big for those screws
