On a better grille from a better manufacturer would the camera fit properly? Have heard prestige models the overhead comers angle is off with the grille swap. Is the hot glue holding up?

Silver reflects heat. What is the point of an intercooler that attracted heat? Black looks cool, but I don't care about looks, I care about function.

I just bought mine yesterday and im waiting for it to come in, did you have to cut out the crash bar for the sensors to fit?

Yes, just a hard yank at the right angle if I recall correctly.

As for looks I love it, functioninality is a 6-7 out of 10. My camera isn't perfect and that drives me crazy. I have 6 piston brakes, this is enough for anything you'll be doing on the street.

@@boostdynamictuning I got the same grille and just installed it yesterday. Does your camera point upwards? I'm gonna have to figure out how to get it right because it's going to drive me crazy as well. The camera mount setup built into this grille is clearly designed wrong as the stock camera mount points at a downward angle. No idea why they thought pointing the camera straight ahead would work... Also, the way the plastic parking sensor mounts were plastic-welded to the grille was so shitty, one of them snapped off when adjusting the fit of the sensor. You could see where the mount didn't fully weld to the plastic, causing it to be really fragile. I ended up having to clean it up and then epoxy it in. I should mention the grille caused my parking sensors to be out of alignment so my cruise control/lane assist isn't working, but I think I can adjust those via OBD11/long coding... hopefully! edit: I have to redact some of what I said above. after taking off the bumper to inspect, I had forgotten to plug in one of the radars. oops! so no marks against it for ACC issues--they aren't even related. But, in the process, the SECOND parking sensor bracket broke off which I again had to epoxy. Honestly though, cleaning ujp the extra plastic and remounting them makes them fit way better anyway. This time I also decided to notch out the crash bar because the parking sensors were rubbing against it. My rating is 10/10 looks, 4/10 quality, 6/10 functionality (camera mount completely wrong), 6/10 fitment (mostly fits good the parking sensors and camera may hit your crash bar)

I have not, I've installed 4 different grills and all didn't need recalibration. It might need calibration if you turned the car on with the sensors disconnected. Setting a hard fault maybe.

I would say 2/3 hours if you're just messing around. I'll be posting an updated video of a faster solution shortly. I'll be testing the rs5 plastic crash bar shield instead of painting the crash bar. The paint has started chipping 😞 so I'm looking for other solutions.

I don't sadly, but I might be taking off the grill, and if I do, I'll grab the part number.

Make sure the clip is plugged in all the way. I did an install last week, no faults. You'll only get a fault if it's pointing straight at the ground or unplugged.

It's not a bad grill if you can deal with the camera issue. Idk who made the grill sorry

I didn't disconnect the battery; also, if they have those issues, it's not from a grill. The ACC goes through the window camera, and so does lain assist. The window camera also reads the road signs for speed limit adjustment.

@@boostdynamictuning its not from the grill swap, but from unplugging the aac radar sensors mounted where the fog lights typically sit when detatching the front bumper. Some people seem to be lucky with realignment and others not so much. Regardless thanks for the quick reply. Now i know that you didn't unplug it atleast.

Take off one of the other ones and go to Napa auto and they will match it up for you bro n

Politely stating this... I showed how I hot glued the camera. I actually have the proper fix video coming here shortly.

Sorry. I assumed you just ended up cutting the metal bumper so the sensors would clear. That's what I ended up doing anyway. On video your like oh a problem and then skipped ahead with no explanation.
