Thanks for the video! I am about to put that newly found knowledge to work... I was surprised to see the rear centramatics go against the rotor, Doesn't that make the rear wheel offset with the front wheel? I understand that the centramatic is not super thick but still... thanks!

Why clock the rotor? The balancer take care of any vibration doesn't it? Isn't that the point?

Hey Fred, I have a 2020 1800 DCT Tour... I had new tires put on and my guy balances tires by the bead method... I then found out about the Centramatic System, soooo I ordered up a set... I went back to my guy and he installed the Centramatic System... I noticed that I picked up a low speed wobble around 41 to 49 mph... Should he have removed the beads ??? Thanks for the work you do for us riders !!!

Hey Peter, yes with the Centramatics installed there is no longer any need for the beads. They aren't necessarily the reason for the wobble you're describing, but the optimal setup is to only have the Centramatics on your tires and nothing else as they do all the work that's needed. Can the balancer be mounted on either side ? My 2021 goldwing has a anti-lock brake rim on the right side looking at the front.

Hello Mike, the balancer must be installed on the opposite side of the anti-lock ring.

Mr Harmon,you have great instructional videos.Off topic,I own a 2018 DCT tour.When the gas gauge gets just below half tank,the gauge segments begin flashing .Any ideas? Thank you Bill

It sounds like a problem with the sending unit in the fuel tank, or associated wiring. Check the electrical connector on the left side of the tank for the sending unit.

I bought a Harbor Freight jack, similar to yous, which I used for years on my 2003 GL1800, but can't use it on my 2018 DCT Touring Wing. Can you please tell me where you placed those spacers so they'll clear the exhausts.

I have the same HF Jack, I also have the Traxxion Dynamics skid plate, I put one support on the base of the center stand (where the center stand mounts to the frame) and the other on the rear of the skid plate directly under the skid plate rear mounting bracket... seems to work.

Using Fred's DVDs, I installed my Centramatic Wheel Balancers on my 2010 GW in 2013 and never looked back. On smooth asphalt, I cannot detect any vibration on the handlebars. I even hold the brake and clutch reservoirs looking for vibration, with none detected.

Question: When you purchase new tires do you have a dealership mount and then spin balance before installing? Or do the Centramatic balacers make up for no tape on weights? Thank you

Hey there, thanks for reaching out to us with your question. You do not need to have them spin-balanced as the Centramatics dynamically balances your tires as you ride. A lot of riders have their local dealership or shop install them when getting new tires put on for convenience sake, but you can certainly do it yourself. With Centramatics there's no longer a need for the wheel weights either.
