Good video. This covered everything required. The hardest part was trimming the plastic cover to fit. What a difference this kit made to my comfort level. It's amazing how that small change makes such a huge difference in riding position. Thanks.

These bars are the best investment I’ve made for my 18 Tour DCT. This product is so well made, easy to install using this video, and the adjustability is just incredible. I had previously installed the basic Helibar risers and they worked well for what they were. The downside of the risers in the tour position was the wrist angle. The y force you to bend your wrist out. The SST Horizon bars allow you to bring the bars back, then adjust the grip to any position you want. No more tweaked wrist for me.

I still have them on and its the best for long rides. A must have kit. Your video does make it so easy to install, thanks again. I would strongly recommend to tape the plastic lens with painter's tape with few layers before pushing the control panel forward, up and flipping it. You should really show it in your video. That plastic lens is way too scratchy, even lite dust can scratch it which I think its a mistake on Honda. They are not cheap to replace. Keep up the great work.

Excellent video! Im going to get the risers on monday and this video will be a great help. Question, the way it looks the risers will make the handle bars farther from the driver. Im trying to get them closer to me. Is it just the way im looking at it. Thank you

Your video is great! I followed it and had no problems with the install. The only problem with the Heli bar risers is the Button bolts. They are JUNK! The two on the left side rounded out some. Couldnt use the torque wrench. So i just used a star handle and really tightened them down. Im sure theyre at least 20ft lbs. The button bolts should be regular hex head bolts.

Thankyou sir for this video. I believe you forgot the cable zip ties and the inner set of pushpins, one of which fell into the eternal vastness of space, never to be seen again. I hate pushpins with a passion ! I was unable to create any movement in the upper shelter mount on my '21, but didnt need any extra clearance for it anyway as it turned out. They suggest a removable adhesive under the plastic caps. They have been falling off.

Fred, I didn't see it in your video, but when you re-installed the center console did you loosen up the front console support bracket and lower it, or did you leave it pushed "up"? Great video otherwise. Thanks. Rick H.

I showed everything in the video that I did, so no, I did not loosen the front support bracket. You push the front of the console forward and down to engage it on the bracket, as is shown on the video.

Great video. How if at all are these adjustable? I prefer my bars pushed out towards the front. Im 6ft 3 so I have a long reach. Trying to do all the research before I purchase my new goldwing.

Hey Jim, thanks for the question. These Risers are not adjustable. However, their Horizon Helibars have 3 inches of height adjustment and 4 inches of forward/back adjustment (you are also able to move them 0.5 inches closer to the fairing). If you haven't already read the reviews on our site I recommend it. Taller riders have said Helibars have made a world of difference (as well as an aftermarket seat). For some reason I believe that cutting the plastic panel is not needed. I might be wrong, but I think if to just replace 2 Philips screws with longer ones, it should be fine to be on top of all cables and heli bars. Again, I might be wrong cause did not try that. Thanks for the video.

They do help reduce reach and as a result helps the rider sit in a more comfortable position. So they are beneficial for those who are short in stature, but they also reduce the inward wrist angle, increase leverage and improve low speed handling according to the manufacturer. I have long arms, but if you want to lean back against a backrest and still have your palms on the grips this is a must-have. If you don't ride in that position it's not needed. (Nothing is needed if you're happy with the status quo, of course.)

@@mqbitsko25 . How tall are you? I prefer drag style bars. I tried riding my brothers goldwing and I felt crippled after 15 minutes.
