The Delta Multi-Choice R-10000 rough in valve is a popular and versatile shower fixture that allows many different trim options. Brizo, Delta's high-end line, also has the same part but the call it the R-60000. Paired with a diverter rough-in, this shower will have two functions; a shower head and a hand shower on a slide bar.
In this video, I go over setting the correct valve depth for tile wall thickness, preparing and soldering the copper pipes, and water testing for leaks. For more plumbing tips and tricks, make sure to watch the video playlist "The Plumbers Secret" . Click the link below:

I found your channel after caulking my stained glass window with a colorful sailboat design. It is in my bathroom and covers the 1980s glass block window. My uncle was a great builder and single handedly built many houses and I had the pleasure of living on his Ranch and learning from him. Unfortunately he passed away before teaching me how to build a house, however I did learn a lot of essential skills which will make building more approachable in the future. I come from a tech background as a computer technician and I am a retired trucker. So it is a different world to me learning how to do home improvement projects. Your videos are great and help give me confidence to do more projects at home.

Nice! Just my opinion. 😎 I would have went to pex transition. And I think it’s best to make up the valves outside. The diverter can be a straight shot from the valve no need for all those other bends. Then just 2 pex adapters to sweat inside. Also there wasn’t a cartridge in the valve so you just have to open 1 service stop to test. 🤙🏼. Can’t wait to see the shower complete!

Hands down my go to about tile. None better and you cant change my mind, but as a CO native and contractor here in the state I am confused by the copper advice you received. Pex has a bit more room for expansion when freezing though it passes thermo change faster most houses will never get low enough for long enough to burst and when it does its normally at the lowest point of the supply first and then drains enough to protect anything not vapor locked it place. None of it is burst free but as far as going behind someone and doing rework or repairs from a burst pipe, pex is always the replacement in my experience. The work done was nothing but textbook as always and I truly appreciate your videos.

Nothing like a tile guy giving plumbing advice.🤔 copper is way worse in freezing conditions than pex. Also, prefabrication on the valve and diverter will help keep from burning the house down. Just a bit of advice from a plumber (not making videos on how to tile a shower). 😂

Not sure why pex wouldnt be used because there unless chemicals in the water are rough on the fittings. Pex can handle a freeze considerably better than copper due to its flexibility. Of course, there is the fear about pex leaching toxins into the water.
