Tyler Major Thanks man! I appreciate it!🤙 I’m trying to let everyone know that these can be made into very nice trucks with a lot of the features of newer trucks but retain the obs look. I’ll keep them coming because I still have more sprucing house to do on the inside of the cab!

Earl Greaser Thanks! 🤙 It’s honestly the easiest thing to do. But I would start with sound deadening the floor before the doors.

Earl Greaser If you do the floor and the back wall, you will definitely cut down on the exhaust noise in the cab.

@@earlgreaser1002 I don't think even this will quiet my 95 f150 interior. It's got headers with true dual straight pipes an 6inch tips. It can be heard a couple miles off. The noise doesn't bother me but it does drive my parents nuts when they have to ride with me.

Stephen, you did a good job, but it looks like a pain to get to in there. Are there not any spray products like Flex Seal or some kind of foam insulation that could be used, if avoiding mechanisms? If so, why did you choose the sheeted stuff? Thanks.

Camas Thanks Camas!! So the first inner door sheet was fairly easy to install. The second was a little challenging. The outer piece weren’t difficult at all. If you take your time and play some music, the job will be over in a snap. As far as spray foams, I don’t really know if an automotive spray foam sound deadener exists. I’ve used these sheets before and they work. Even when you pick them up, the weight is enough to tell you that they are the way to go. Someone posted a link on my video when I shared it to Facebook. These guys did some sound testing with Dynamat. The number graphs alone are cool! www.crutchfield.com/learn/car-stereo-proving-ground-pt-4.html

@@TheMinuteMasters Thanks. Then, let me throw this out. If there isn't a spray sound insulation marketed to truck and car motorheads and rehabilitators, is there a market for it? I know that sounds eclectic, but think how many F150's are out there and how many in a nation of 350 million people will be fixed up. Maybe that's a business opportunity for a young ambitious man I know.

Camas Honestly, there probably is a market for a spray insulation for vehicles. I’d say two things make the spray insulation problematic though. One you’d have to tape off everything before you sprayed into you have to make sure that the foam Rose at an even enough level so that it wouldn’t completely fill a door pocket and clog your window mechanism. That being said, in construction spray insulation doesn’t usually have as much R value as tradition woven glass. I really think it’s the thickness of the foam after curing that is the biggest determining factor in it being used in areas that are shared with moving parts or don’t have the space (under the floor liner.) Who knows though, I’ll definitely keep an eye out for a product like that. It would be cool!

Hey if you do t want those door pockets back let me know neither of my 94 f150s have them and you might not want to do a headliner if you don’t have the door pockets. Both of mine are red and one has a red interior and there’s roof looks beautiful with it. (I’d look even better if it ran and drive at the moment)

Evan Hartmann Actually I’m still undecided about getting rid of the door pockets. But if I do, I’ll definitely let ya know!🤙

What thickness did you use on the doors or and for the roof? Or are they the same?
@TheMinuteMasters
@TheMinuteMasters 3 жыл бұрын
I used the same thickness everywhere. You can buy a thicker material for the floor. I also know other sound deadening manufacturers make special products for the roof and under the hood. For the most part, this Dynamat product can work every where and has great sound reduction.

How much dynamat did you need for the entire cab?
@TheMinuteMasters
@TheMinuteMasters 4 жыл бұрын
John Campbell It all goes by how many square feet. I used a box of sound deadener from a company called Eastwood to cover the floor and 3/4 of the back wall. One box of this Dynamat does both doors and maybe half the ceiling. So figure three boxes.
