One trick that helps with pressed in materials is put the ball joint delete in the deep freeze for several hours before you are doing the job. Shrinks the part and makes it a bit easier.
@Blubicon4 ай бұрын
Yup, make sure to read the installation instructions thoroughly =)

Your video is the first one that explains what the ballpoint delete is in comparison to the normal balljoints.

Just an fyi for others, it seems the design has changed there are no longer 2 nuts and the torque specs are now 45 lower then top 45lbs put weight on the vehicle then tighten bottom to 65 in 10lb increments.

Yes Josh is constantly improving his design.

Almost bought these but I don’t want or need to destroy my inner C with a knurled seat. My currie axle is brand new and not even installed yet!!
@Blubicon Жыл бұрын
It's a very slight knurling. Also I'm not sure what you mean by "destroy" is these never have to be removed. It is a permanent solution for poorly performing traditional ball joints.

Did you ever try adjusting the TF ball joints? They claim you can adjust the tension if they ever start to give you slop.
@Blubicon2 жыл бұрын
Sure did. I tightened the adjusting collar with every oil change, or after every 2 or 3 wheeling trips. I noticed that a few months ago I was no longer able to turn the collar as it had reached the end of it's threads.

Good video thinking about doing this to my f350 any pro or cons ? How are they holding up?
@Blubicon2 жыл бұрын
They are holding up perfectly. Josh makes an amazing product. I am super happy.

Looks more like a rebuildable heim joint from here with a bolt in tapered tie rod shaft. Is that basically what I'm looking at?
@Blubicon2 жыл бұрын
Yup, rebuildable.

I thought maybe a bit of grease first would make it easier. Also I saw someone lube the ball in the top one.

Does this need an angled press cup? I bought one for my TJ to match the angle on the BJ ear of the C.
@Blubicon2 жыл бұрын
For my D44 I did not need an angled cup.

Pretty cool. Unfortunately it doesn't look like they have a set for ford 44s. I'll give them a call in the AM. Maybe the jeep ones will fit

Do you lose fine adjustment to your caster and camber?
@Blubicon2 жыл бұрын
Jeeps have solid front axles and camber adjustment will not be needed and so no ability to adjust it is present. if you have camber, your axle c's are bent and you can correct for them with off set balljoints. Caster is typically adjusted with lengthening or shortening control arms.

How are the ball joint deletes doing today? Are they holding up as expected?
@Blubicon6 ай бұрын
Holding up perfectly! I have the first gen deletes. Josh has already made several updates and is now on a 3rd gen product. Nothing but great things to say about the concept, the product, and the company.
@taraaaron12422 жыл бұрын
So how do you like them. Do they make noises. Did they help the steering
@Blubicon Жыл бұрын
I have the first Gen bearings, so yes they did squeak as they were breaking in. Only lasted a few months. The newer sets have the Gen 2 bearings which are quieter. The steering is great! Very tight. Super happy with my choice.
@jeremy87152 жыл бұрын
How has the steering improved?
@Blubicon2 жыл бұрын
Steering feels exactly like stock when the Jeep was new. Biggest difference is all the slop is now gone from the front end because of the worn out ball joints that were in there before. No more clunking, everything feels tight and right.
