How to install the mo.Button - Step-by-step Guide

In this video I show you how to install the mo.Button from Motogadget. It took me five tries to figure out an easy way, which I want to share with you in this video. If you don't know what the mo.Button is, it's this little device that sits inside the handlebars of your motorcycle, collects all of the signals from your handlebar controls, and transmits them through just one wire to the m-Unit. This cleans up the wiring of you handlebar switches a lot. But the installation can be a bit tricky, so let me show you step-by-step what has worked best for me.

nice one! i used old throttle cables to pull all the wires through - since they're much more stable it's a bit easier to get everything in, especially if your trying with several cables+button all at once

Fiddly work but the end result looks great! Great idea to have the exit hole in the handlebar clamp!

Hi Joshua, in my opinion you have created a very helpful and clear video. 👌🏻 Encourages me to change my wiring harness and finally route the wires in the handlebars.

My mini buttons are from Motone with an electronic module for lights, high beam, horn & indicators only. The rest of the wiring harness is original and anything but tidy...😉

Are you going to protect those connections in the switches in some way? For moisture/rust over time? Perhaps some kind of resin/glue type of stuff to "seal" them / the bare metal?

That's a very good point. I might add some dielectric grease or would you recommend glue or maybe silicone? 🤔

@@MotoWrenchers I would seal the bare connections up with silicone.. You could always heat them up a bit and pry the silicone off. But Dialectric grease also is very good at keeping moisture/water out.
