Im getting better at it. I read an excerpt of my story to a family member and did different voices fr my characters. And she loved it. She said she actually saw what was happening. Made me so happy

I remember using really complex words on purpose and on of my cousins was like what is he saying.🤣 Then the other brother was like I can speak Cedric. Some people can be at a complete loss if they don't have a large vocabulary in which case I have to simplify how I speek but most of the people in my family have about as good a vocabulary as I do.

Sometimes as a writer, I end up learning a lot of strange wordings for things, and now I'm at the point where I end up using those words when I speak sometimes too. I feel embarrassed about it when I realise I'm doing it 😂😂 So I can relate to your comment!

@@midnightXcross I learned a lot of my vocabulary from audiobooks and it didn't hurt that both grandparents on my mother's side were college educated and that my fother was a linguist.

Thank you for the wonderful writing tips that you’ve been giving on every video 😊 If you get the chance in the future, can you please also make a video specifically on foreshadowing? I would really love some tips on foreshadowing, ways to do it, and ways not to it. Foreshadowing is found in any good story, but it’s not always clear how to properly write foreshadowing, and avoid mistakes.

In my trilogy, Psyber War, I gave a brief explanation of the universe in the first page, which came off as a bit of an info dump. I wasn't really going for that--I was trying to do the typical camera zoom-in from the galaxy to the star system to the planet. Lesson learned. My characters constantly banter back and forth, which helps establish their friendship and dislikes, without them sounding too whiny. Ryan is an outsider--an exchange student from Aotara (my universe's version of New Zealand)--and his presence allows dialoguing to replace info dumping as he constantly asks questions or is shocked at something (eg Nysse species having only two wrap-around teeth instead of however many is typical for humans). Lastly, my "bad guys" are fleshed out so they are not evil for evil sake. They really don't do anything evil, they just are looking out for the best interests of themselves or their view of what their people want. I think this is very important. Antagonists must have a reason that they are doing what they do, unless you're writing a very young children's book. www.amazon.com/Psyber-War-whole-flippin-trilogy/dp/B08CN4L4XF/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=psyber+war&qid=1647534381&sr=8-3

Can anyone please help me, I'm planning to create a story that is inspired by honkai impact, now I really need help to at least have a introduction or how everything started (how the monsters were created), and I'm also planning to create my own version of herrschers, where instead of the core they will have gems instead, those gems will give them superhuman powers. I already made one which is the gem of purity (Sapphire), now what it does is it can be merged with a specific object by the owners, the current owner is archangel, he decided to merged the gem of purity with a book, does allowing him do summon as many drones as he wants. There are two specific drones that he can summon, the chivalric and the armament drones. The chivalric drones is mostly focused on offense, meaning archangel could summon chivalric drones that can be merged with each other and then create any weapon he wants and that weapon is actually very powerful, it can pretty much destroy a whole city if not used properly. The armament drones focused more on defense, just like chivalric drones it can be formed into any defense related things. For those who are still confused The Gem Of Purity- gives the holder the ability to merged the gem into any object they desire. Archangel (the current holder) decided to merged it with a book, which allowed him to summon drones, the book he merged the gem with is a book containing various weapons and defense mechanism which allowed him to summon two types of droids (the chivalric and the armament drones) and he could also use the chivalric drones to create strong weapons. You guys can also suggest a replacement name for herrschers

I think the most important thing is to find a style that suits you. I recommend you try different writing styles, and think about which style you enjoy writing in the most. Some light novels focus more on the dialogue, others might focus more on the environment, and some might be written with more description. There is no wrong way to write a light novel. Try new things and see if you can find your own style with it. 😊

Copy drawing is okay when it's used for learning! As long as you're not using it for your own mangas, and you're making it clear that you don't take credit for the original work, you should be good.
