I can't stand Microsoft Teams. Why is there no "Join Meeting" button on the desktop app with a field to paste the code? Pretty basic stuff, Microsoft!

Is this a feature only for the school/work version of teams? I don't see that option in the personal version.

Actually, there is but it's the absolute stupidest way they could've implemented it, so dumb that most people would never consider it. You have to open the Calendar, which unless you know beforehand that all meetings are added to the schedule, it's such a dumb way to go about it.

When they are behind HTML, I never see the associated readable link representing the URL. So the email invite does not work as a link. I just see the message “join meeting here”. I do have are the magic numbers for the meeting ID, and the meeting code. I’m wanting to know how to enter the meeting ID and code into a browser. (not the app) for joining a meeting that way. The invite comes from a different business than my own business.

@@MicrosoftCustomerSupport It doesn't matter what device. Its not my issue.. its a defect of TEAMS. Its the same problem for everyone on all devices. Yes, its possible to set up personal time zones on a device. But that relies on the CUSTOMER. And thats not a good way to design your software. Having the customer being responsible for accurate use of your software is not my suggestion. My suggestion is that the invite could simply say the time zone. In that way, it wouldn't rely on the customer to have their time zone correct It would simply be correct all of the time, regardless of what setting the customer had in their system.

To join via the web or application, sign in to your Microsoft Teams account, click on "Join" or "Create," and enter the unique Meeting ID and Passcode. Good question. When you join a meeting, here’s what happens: 1. You enter the meeting lobby. 2. The meeting organizer is notified of your presence. 3. Within 15 minutes of joining, if no one explicitly admits you to the meeting, you’ll be automatically kicked out of the lobby. 4. If that happens, you’ll need to rejoin the meeting. Remember, the meeting organizer doesn’t need to be present during the meeting itself. To ensure smooth entry for everyone, the organizer can disable the mandatory waiting room for all participants or allow specific attendees to admit others directly. Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

Got that. Meeting organizers or presenters are the only ones who can view the meeting attendance or the participants. If you're using school accounts, then you may need to coordinate this with your School Admins or IT department as they're the ones who can control or manage the account. Kind regards
