I personally spent a lot of time repping one arm push-ups back in the days and it helped build@a solid pushing foundation.
Learning a proper one arm push-up is cool by itself, but you’ll also build great strength and muscle in your chest, shoulders and triceps.
The best things though, you can literally do it anywhere without any kind of equipment.
Like every other exercise, it’s not perfect. You have to work both sides, meaning it’s more time consuming. Being a unilateral (one sided) exercise however, also means you’ll get more stabilisers working, which is a good thing.
It’s also one of these exercises that are quite easy to cheat by twisting your body, particularly in the concentric phase (when going up). An easy way to remedy this is by always making sure your shoulders are in line with each other.
