It's best to compose the letter, read it repeatedly until you no longer feel anger, then burn the letter! That way, it's strictly personal and there's no reaction from the other person.

I agree about forgiving parents-- it's an important step to take for oneself. HOWEVER, if a parent is still continuing the destructive behavior, simply forgiving him or her will not bring peace. For example, where one's parent has a personality disorder. Sometimes forgiveness must be accompanied by measures of self-protection, such as low or no contact. It seems shortsighted to give people the impression that the only thing holding them back from having a healthy relationship with their parent(s) is choosing to forgive. Skipping off into the sunset with happy, healthy, supportive parents isn't a possibility for many folks, unfortunately.

1- Parents: Don't keep the anger all the time 2- Relationships: that didn't work, don't blame, forgive and forget negative emotions and say 'I forgive them' 3- Everybody hurt you: your boss, friends,... repeat it; 'I wish them well and forgive them till that negative emotion has go away' 4- YOURSELF: your are different person compare to the past, you have more experience and repeat; 'I forget myself for all mistakes I have done' 'I am a good person and gonna have a wonderful future' Let it go TECHNIQUE: Write a letter or email of forgiveness 1- I forgive you for... 2- List of why you angry about... 3- End of letted: 'I wish you well' >>SEND

This is a little thing, but it felt really good. Back in my 8th grade year (nearly 30 years ago now), I had insulted another girl. That stayed with me. A few years ago was my high school reunion and I contacted this girl (now obviously grown) and reached out to her on Facebook... and I apologized. She didn't remember... but *I* did. And now, whenever I happen to think of that incident in my life... I can also remember that I reached out and apologized for it and took responsibility for it.

Brian is 100% correct I forgot this rule for success and it has haunted me the last few years remember forgiving doesn't mean forgetting it just means you let loose of the burden of the hatred and anger can you set yourself free they no longer have power over your thoughts or feelings this is a wonderful thing

I had this conversation with my sister today. This is so true, begin with forgiving the other person, process of forgiving my mistakes, and ends up forgiving myself. Weeks, months, maybe years, but no matter how difficult each day i have peace of mind.

I really needed this! I forgive the whole world but I find it very difficult to forgive myself & my parents (if it’s a serious mistake on their part and they aren’t sorry). I mainly never forgive myself. I have been working on this, and I’m making progress 😇 This video helps me think positively in seconds. Downloading it so I can listen to it again whenever required! Thank you so much! ❤️

This video made me emotional. I think holding on to anger really affected my life in so many ways. Sometimes I'm thinking that I have already forgiven the people who had hurt me but sometimes when they suddenly appear in my thoughts and the hurtful things they did, I realize I'm still affected and hurt. From now on, little by little, I will do my best to forgive them completely including myself for all the wrong decisions and mistakes I did. By then, I'll be living a free and happy life with a genuine peace of mind ♥️. Thank you Sir Brian Tracy. Even if I haven't met you personally, I consider you as my life mentor. 🙂
