We may or may not love the home we live in. We may wish for a bigger house, a nicer hour or just find ourselves being tired of the house we have. In today's video I'm sharing my best tips for how to love and enjoy your home more! Our homes should be a place that we love, can relax and be happy in and I hope today's tips help you to love your home more than you already do! Great advice!! I esp love being grateful, and using your nice things every day instead of "saving" them. I love a quote I read: "Don't save things for a special occasion - every day of your life is a special occasion." Thank you for sharing these good ideas!

Becky, I have been watching certain videos of yours over and over and this is one of my favorites. I listen as I clean and it keeps me inspired and motivated. I so appreciate your reminders to be thankful for what we do have and to make the best of our homes and lives and to do what we can. I love Valentine's day as well. It is actually my anniversary. My house has been such a mess and I'm cleaning with a beautiful Valentine's day in mind for inspiration. You are such a blessing!! Thank you for these types of videos!💗

Thank you for this video. Every time I get frustrated and want to move your video grounds me. I learn to be grateful for my blessing. So many people would appreciate to have a house. And this motivates me to go clean and organize while saying ‘I’m grateful for these walls I’m wiping down because they’re my walls’. 💕

Such a great video. Its so important to learn to be content with ENOUGH. Its something im still learning but selecting a smaller home, has saved us when we were forced to 1 income. if we had gone for trying to get the biggest house the bank would lend us for when times were good it would of ruined us when our circumstances changed. Its not perfect, we would like more storage as well but the way I see it, we will pay it off faster, have less debt, more money for travel and other fun things which I value more than a big house. (Plus when i can afford to im going to put a finished attic in the roof for more storage) Sometimes its just reminding us we need to put things back into focus. ☺

I know! Banks will approve you for so much and not even care if you can truly afford that or not! Thankfully, you had enough sense to not buy the biggest house the bank said you could "afford." Adding a finished attic will give you so much more space and is way cheaper than moving! We just have to get creative with our storage, don't we? :)

@@aplacetonest Yes, but im also learning as the older I get that having a more limited space and storage means I start to question more about what I chose to bring into our home to begin with, which means over time I have to declutter less and not wasting so much money on things we dont really need and aren't going to really enjoy to begin with. So its going to be win win in the long run. We just need to be good stewards of our blessings to begin with. 💜

We have lived in the same house for 32 years. It seems to be needing a lot of repairs. I agree with you! I was feeling I wish I had a bigger and better place. But we started really organizing and downsizing. It's brought me more happiness and appreciation of my home. We still have a ways to go but I can see things are better. I loved your video and feel you have a lot of wisdom and understanding. Very nice video. ❤️❤️❤️

Becky I love the idea of filling your home with these little luxuries that make everyday so comfortable like warm fuzzy sheets!! My walls are starting to look dull so I think a fresh coat of paint is just the ticket to make me love my bedroom more, thanks so much for that message to remember contentment and what is truly necessary for happiness!!

We’ve lived in the same house for almost 15 years. It’s the only house my kids have ever known. I also had the privilege of my Mom living with me until she passed in that house. It’s outdated, it needs repairs & there’s days I just want to pack & leave, but then I think “I brought my babies home to this house, they walked here, they talked here & it’s full of memories of my Mom.” Honestly, idk how I’ll ever leave, lol. Thanks for the insight 🤗

That's amazing that you have so many happy memories in your house! That's the way I feel, too. As much as I'd like to have more storage and be further away from neighbors, it would be so hard to leave.

I bought my home when I was 19 and it was just me and my son who was under one. Now married with five boys we have out grown our home. However, we don't have the money to move to a bigger home but we have redone almost every room in our tiny house. I love my home now! Now, thinking about moving makes me sad even though I know we need more space.

It's amazing that you have made your house work in so many stages in life! I bet you are super organized to fit it all in a smaller home! I feel like you do. Even though I want to move, I would be really sad to leave this house behind. :)

I needed to hear this today. We moved into a beautiful new home a few months ago, but I've been struggling to love it with all of the ups and downs of relocating 900 miles. I do know how blessed I am to have it. Thanks for reminding me to spend some time making it into a place I love.

Love this video. We are a family of 6, I homeschool, and we live in a small 3 bedroom house. I have to remind myself when I start to wish for something "bigger and better", that our home is more than enough, it's perfect for us, nothing is wrong with it, and the mortgage is great, which allows us to enjoy each other more. 😊❤

Great video! I've always been happy in our home. We live in a 3 bedroom townhouse in a great neighborhood/school district. It's just the perfect size for our family of 4. I enjoy decorating for all of the seasons/holidays & have recently started doing a couple of little DIY decor projects. And although I may not love cleaning LOL, I really don't mind it :-)

It's awesome that you are content where you are because I know a lot of people, including myself sometimes, tend to think we need or want something bigger. I agree with you about cleaning. I don't hate it but it's just hard to keep up with everything sometimes.

I love using my favorite cleaning products. The Mrs. Meyers products smell amazing! I also love using candles and wax warmers to keep my home smelling good. The home we're in is not my dream home, but compared to what we lived in when we first married, it's a big step up. So I try to be thankful that I have a good roof over my head. And sometimes the way we see our home isn't always how others see it. I had a Christmas party at my house and invited all the ladies from our church. One girl kept telling me how beautiful and how nice my home was. It really made me think. This poor girl lives in a small home that's much older and not in the best condition. To her my house was fancy. What some consider blah, others consider beautiful. I learned that it's easy to want "better." But if you always want "better" you'll never learn to be thankful. Maybe one day we'll be blessed with something better, but right now I'm thankful for what we have.❤

Oh, I love Mrs. Meyer's! I'm really missing my peppermint multi-purpose spray but I love the honeysuckle for spring and summer! You're so right! We never know how others feel about the things we have. For example, I don't like my kitchen. The cabinets and countertops are dark and I just don't like it but I've had other people tell me how much they like it. Sometimes it's hard but we have to focus on what we have and being thankful for that, even if it isn't exactly what we like or want.

I keep wanting to move to another area it drives me crazy making me feel unhappy 🙁 I don’t like living near other people/ Neighbors I just want to live miles from others so I can have more privacy 🙋‍♀️🇮🇪🍀
