How to make a 4' x 10' Banner Frame or any size to stake on Grass or Sand

Have you ever been asked to make a Church, School, or Soccer banner? I spent long time researching to find anyone who could show me a How-to and the best ways to make a frame for a banner and I only could find one guy that was in a band, with some good ideas. I found this odd as there are so many soccer teams, churches, etc, that need banners adn it prompted me to make this video.
After posting this for a while, I found this guy had a good video on how to measure and cut PVC, which you need to know. Two of our middle support ends need to be cut with a Jigsaw. Here is his link • PVC Stand for a vendor...

They have held up a year later. What is good about this design, which is for Do-it-yourselfers, is its easy to build, store, and put up and take down, which is what a church needs.

That is a valid point, but a tube type fence or stake driver will allow it to work. Fence post driver will go into sand just fine. The key is pounding one end flat so it is driven into the sand easier. We are going on 4 years as of 6-2019, with the one we made for our church and the banner is worn out and the frame is still good. With sand that is sand all the way down, is more of a challenge, but the frame of this is the most important in this video and you will have to just adapt to your specific circumstances. Most events have sand and or grass around, and well if it is straight sand, then your in the desert and you have wind and other elements that you will have to adapt to.

Oh my God this is genius. I have a 8*4 sing for my business, I wish I had known this when I put it up, man I did it the SUPER hard way. I found this video because I have to redo it because we had some high winds and it broke my wooden frame 🤣 yes my dumbass used wood. Why? I've never had to frame a sign before 🤣🤣🤣 oh my god,, you live and learn🤷

Excellent information. You have thought of everything. Thank you for sharing. How do you think the frame will stand up in a winter climate that has some snow and wind storms or is it designed for calm days and warm weather? Great ideas. You have inspired me.

I used a few 4 or 6 pack of smaller bunnies with metal hooks on them. I cut off one of the hooks and secured them on the black pvc pipe, and they could stay there, and then I hook them on the banner when i want to use them. Looks like our church puts them away all together and does not disconnect them. If you do disconnect the banner, you want to NOT glue all the. Pipes. Keep the corners unglued and this is a preference call. Remember, the more disconnected parts, the more they will get lost.
