nicework! I really wish that you could explore how to make or cast really thin sheets of highly rigid material 0.76 mm (0.030 in) or less in thickness, by 6"x6" square.. I dont mean it needs to be armor or bullet resistant... just not brittle or that flexable

no worries - will do

what can I use to dissolve this gelatin? to get rid of edges... can I use witch hazel?
@ThinkingandTinkering7 жыл бұрын
you can always try - let us know if it works - but gelating dissolves in warm water

I wouldn't mind betting that if you get as far as your sugars and gel mix, then in a bowl begin whipping egg whites, and slowly pour the mixture into them as you whip (NOT the other way round, or you cook the egg) and maybe a touch of salt, you'll get something similar but edible. I'm not sure why you'd want to especially, but there's a non-toxic version for you.
@ThinkingandTinkering9 жыл бұрын
edible masks maybe? lol

actually there is a paper on that for making battery electrodes

Robert Murray-Smith OH GOOD, now we can touch both electrodes to our tongue and be happy knowing it doesn't contain washing-up liquid. Hoorah.

Very interesting tutorial sir. If you don't mind, I'd like to ask. If I have liquid latex, what chemicals do I use to make the latex foam / pillow? . And how is the process. Maybe you are willing to make this tutorial or just reply to messages. Thank you very much sir.

As far as I know, the only real way to make foam latex is to get a foam latex kit. Rather than liquid latex the base is natural undiluted latex, it's then mixed with the foaming agent and curing agent and then mixed with an electric mixer like this one to foam it up, and then gelling agent is added Once the gelling agent is added you've only got a matter of minutes to get it into your mold before it starts to form a skin, and once it's in the mold you bake it for a few hours to vulcanize it

TFW you say to yourself: "Oh, of course English people pronounce Listerine like that" and "it's not a surprise, but I've never heard one say it before" then "I wonder why this took so long, when I'm in my 40s and I have decades of consuming British motion pictures and media under my belt - it's not as though the average American was excited to find and watched a youtube bootleg of the 1983 adaptation of NC Hunter's Waters of the Moon starring the inimitable Penelope Keith" and lastly "I wonder what other English pronunciations could surprise me at this point, I thought Sue Perkins saying Chipotle would be the last time this happens".

Interesting. I stumbled across this while doing a quick search for a DIY foam that might be applied to be temporary, CHEAP insulation to protect plants from cold weather during an unusual cold snap in Houston, Texas. Hum.... The typical tarps & coverings might be improved or enhanced. I wonder what more affordable ingredient substitutions might be...Hum...Maybe something available for FREE & directly from plants themselves -like aloe gel mixed with something. Hum... Maybe something that could be scaled up just a tad bit more...Hum... Synthetic sea-foam with a plasticizer? Hum... It would be nice if it was sprayable. There's probably something, and I haven't really searched yet. Well. Time's a passing.
