Even this game has "2007" in its title, the game covers the mid-2005 to mi-2006 WWE season. It's a shame that Londrick wasn't included in the game, indeed.

Both Umaga & The Great Khali both debuted after WrestleMania, but still managed to make it into the game.

Weight detection was actually one of the best features about this game. The size in wrestlers actually mattered in the match itself. The Geat Khali facing Rey Mysterio for example.... Khali would have a big advantage in size so Mysterio would have to find another way to victory. (Please explain to me how that creativity alone makes the matches less fun??!) But instead of improving on it, after svr 2008, they completely removed the weight detection feature. So every match basically felt the same. There was no difference in having a heavyweight or (cruiserweight) facing a super heavyweight. You could put Big Show vs a diva and the diva could win with giving big show a neckbreaker. With giving *BIG SHOW*....a neckbreaker...

They should do a remake, but a ruthless aggression version instead of a specific year. In the remake they should include all wrestlers from the original SVR up to SVR 2011 They can even remove Benoit (naturally) in favor of getting a much greater roster, remaster all the season modes into one package, all the different match types, and keep GM mode as is

KUDOS for including Victoria! She was in the first SVR but was excluded until SVR2009! Victoria’s moveset alone makes her omission all the more of a head-scratcher. London & Kendrick not being in the game was another head scratcher.

These graphics still hold up really well for a 17 year old game. I literally purchased an Xbox 360 just to play this version of the game.

Speaking of London And Kendrick, for me Yukes or THQ made a mistake or missed an opportunity for not including Ashley Massaro in Smack Down VS Raw 2007. Aside from she debuted in WWE around 2005, the divas roster in SVR 2007 have only 2 face divas out of 7 which were consistenting only of Trish Stratus and Torrie Wilson plus Ashley Massaro also became a fan favorite during in WWE back then. I knew she debuted in SVR 2008 but for me it would be better if she debuted in SVR 2007. Also speaking of Victoria aside from SVR 2007, she also did not appear in SVR 2006 and SVR 2008 were the divas roster were lacking of heel divas plus the fact that she didn't appear in SVR games for 3 consecutive releases after the release of the 1st SVR game until she appears in SVR 2009 which became her final appearance in WWE games. Also I don't mind if Maria Kanellis were included in SVR 2007

Man my biggest issue with old wrestling games with Xbox live was that there wasn’t no updated rosters till the next game

i think that SVR 2009 roster had characters that originally and should appeared in SVR 2008 (the miz was actually going to appear in SVR 2008 but he got removed for unknown reasons, as the benoit incident made yukes remove a lot of characters from that game)

One omission from this game that baffled me as a kid was Vince McMahon. He was on TV A LOT in 2006 both pre and post Wrestlemania feuding with Shawn Michaels and later DX so he was a weird exclusion, especially since Shane was in the game and basically all he did in 2006 was team with Vince. Also wouldn’t have minded if they included the trons and music for Rated RKO.

I really wished they added more people in the game I mean I’m happy that SVR 2007 had a solid roster but I feel like having added like 10-18 people would have made it more better

I don't know if anyone recalls this, but there use to be a KZfaq channel that imported models into SvR 07 and not like the PS2 version it was the full on HD version. I forget what the channel was called and I don't think they're around anymore. But yeah if '07 had the names you mentioned the game would've been perfect, I wish Jeff Hardy at least made the cut. I think SvR '07 should've been the game that introduced ECW not '08 I think it made more sense that 07 would've been the game with how much ECW had it's resurgence in '06 and '07. '08 was honestly the beginning of the end of ECW since it was the PG WWECW. I'm honestly surprised there isn't some sort of fan project that tries to make SvR '07 the best version of SvR. I feel like if you merged '07, '08, and '09 into 1 game you'd have an amazing game. Though the thing that sucks if I'm not mistaken is that you have to replace someone on the roster when you import, wish you could just use CAW slots tbh so you don't have to replace anyone.

I totally forgot that Victoria wasn’t in the game. If this game had DLC these guys probably would have been added in, along with Terry Funk, Sabu, Sandman and Tommy Dreamer in an ECW pack.

I heard a rumour about London , Kendrick and the Spirit Squad being exclusive to Xbox 360 but that rumour was never real.

Another strange thing was that they was some of the guy that appeared in brand they was not longer in that brand like example Melina and Nitro being on Smackdown in that game when the game was released they where on RAW same for Orton the crazy part Nitro was IC champion despite being a Smackdown guy. Even Angle wish ok he was on ECW but he was on Smackdown before he go to ECW especially he was feuding with the World champion but that was some strange things during that times in games.

Honestly I wish the season mode started where SVR 2006’s left off. I really wanted to see what happened after my CAW won the WWE title after beating Cena, what else would Teddy do to get revenge on the guy who ran him over? Hell have the twist that Torrie was in on it because JBL did say him and Teddy went behind Torrie’s back for JBL to get her contract.

Hear me out, I know he was long gone by the time the game came out, but Vito made the cut for the game despite not being signed anymore. Why not have added Nunzio as well? They had already given his build to Vito who was in his FBI gimmick rather than the Dress Man gimmick so why not? It would've added another Cruiserweight to a small division at the very least

Especially Jeff Hardy and MVP should have still made the cut as both of these guys made their return/debut in August/September as svr 2007 had Matt Hardy in it but yeah those two should have made the cut regardless of how much time they had to make the game and also London and Kendrick should have made the cut too as Mexicools was in the game so they could have made addition for London and Kendrick

paul london and brian kendrick actually were going to appear in SVR 2008 as some of the preset entrances are actually them (they are their same entrances as SVR 2009) also their attires would make sense chronologically

mann i literally CREATED Brian Kendrick in sdvr 2006 and gave em Paul London's moveset and intro. man they dropped the ball by not having them on 06-07

A lot of these guys were not in the game due to time constraints especially for mvp and Jeff hardy they just debuted too late to be included. Khali and umaga I think barely made it into the game. I think having the roster being so big some guys just got cut and in the next game they got cut even more however Victoria definitely should have been in

Also, Randy Orton’s SVR ‘08 Entrance should’ve been in SVR ‘07 because in the 2007 game, Orton entrance is based in mid to late 06 which it suits to the 2006 game. Also Orton’s SVR 07 Entrance is based in mid 2005 to early 2006 should’ve been his entrance in SVR ‘06 so it can fit his heel persona as he returned from a shoulder injury in August 2005 prior to the game (SVR ‘07) release.
