I know most guys who do this flock . But I buy a 9x11 sheet of felt from any craft store . There's tons of colors to pick from. What you do is lay the sheet down and cut out the templates for the seats and such with a pair of scissors. Go back and forth dry fitting until it looks right and then grab some spray adhesive . Spray it on the floor of the model itself and then start from one end of the carpet felt and lay it in place. It looks awesome.

great job, tips; you could put a sheet of paper under your work area and recuperate the flocking.

That looks so nice. We used to use hobby felt and white glue to make floor mats. I had some luck with soaking the felt with white glue and installing it on the floors. Then using a finger nail file to move some of the fibers in the felt for an ok look from outside of the car. That was when I was a kid.

Great video and another tip of what I did instead of glue is that if you used the same color like flat black and then flock it, it will make it 100% much better in my opinion

Great video. The nail art option I didn’t know about so many thanks. For white glue. If you mix with a bit of water it will go on much better and provide a smooth surface for the flock. The outcome is the same. Cheers.

Nice Idea. I think I will use this pouder for the structure of carpet but after applying, I will seal it with Gloss coat and then paint it the way I wat it, then reseal with a gloss or matt coat.

Do areas like the transmission hump 1st to let it set up longer to a tacky state as it will sag or drip down causing a crappy carpet...if not happy you can wash it off.

Great video, but I would use a wider brush for larger areas. More even coverage. Maybe for h.wheels, try crushing the flocking with a small rolling pin ?don't know if it would work, but it's worth a try !

David R Lentz, USA You have an interesting idea here. To reduce the waste of all the flocking powder that does not fall upon the white adhesive (as we see at round 2:10 in your video), I suggest placing under the model’s interior a large paper plate to catch the leftovers, for one to use later in the carpeting process. For white or very pale flocking material, a shallow, darkly coloured bowl would serve instead. Does this material work for fabric seat covers? It seems that set you used might. Or does your supplier offer a different item? I infer that leather or Naugahyde (a trademark for an artificial material designed to resemble leather, made from fabric coated with rubber or vinyl resin; source: Bing/Edge) would have a glossy finish. Similarly, how might one simulate unusual patterns, such as stripes, especially pin-striping? Or splodges, tiger-prints, florals, zigzags, iridescent fabrics, etc.?
