How to Make Custom Hats for your Fursuit

Obviously I can't go into details on other hat types in this, but I thought this would be a great starting point if anyone else was wanting to make a hat!
In the future I know I'll be making a baseball cap so I will absolutely film that for a follow up tutorial / part 2 to this! :D

I recently got a Galaxy S8+ and I absolutely love it. I am planning on making a cow fursona, complete with udders. And once I get it uploaded, I'll add the link to it so you can make the partial suit for me, with the udders. I only want the head, udders, hooves, and tail. And the horns are similar to Guapo's horns in Ferdinand (2017).

Make a Goat fullsuit for me too, only it's fully blue with its horns and beard yellow. Also, wrap part of the left ear in sports tape to simulate bandages. Name: Vincent Van Goat.

:D !! 10:30 is that your dog in the background? ^-^ I love dogs! ^w^ Also I would love to know how to do other types of hats for fursuits! especially ones with brims like cowboy hats, top hats, mage hats, etc ^w^ my fursona is a witch fennec and while I already figured out how I'm gonna make her cape, I still hope to figure out how to do her witch hat. I also have a wild dog oc that isn't a fursona but he's also a wizard so I hope to make his hat too once I make him as a fursuit :3 your content is really helpful btw! I subscribed ^-^

it's actually my cat Lorenzo! he's a sphynx! i love cats :3 hoping to do more hat tutorials in the future, dont worry! might be a bit , but you could also search on youtube for 'how to make a top hat from scratch' and apply it to a fursuit.

@@freckledcatcreations ohh cats are cool too ^-^ yeah I've been looking up a few witch hat tutorials aswell lol XD I might see if I can work with them and combine it with your tutorials, I'm pretty patient so even if you do come out with brimmed hat tutorials such as mage hats and top hats, I'm sure that would really help too! :D I actually don't think there's one for fursuits yet but who knows, maybe you could be the first! ^w^

omg yes!! good luck! for the hard structure of the hat, you could try using interfacing for handbags (kinda like super stiff felt) or even plastic.

I love this tutorial. I'll use it for making a beanie for my suit. I. Not sure which material to use. I have fleece, but I feel like using yarn would be better. I'll have to learn how to crochet it. Are you planning on making more hat tutorials anytime soon?

I REALLY want to! none of my next commissions will be having hats though, so i'll have to wait for that opportunity. a beanie stumps me though.. hmm.... maybe you might wanna find a knit piece of clothing with the color you need, then cut that up and sew it together? I would hate to have to learn fully how to crochet just to make one hat lmao. there are a couple fursuit makers who offer custom knitted beanies too!

yes! working on it behind the scenes! gonna be suuuuuper detailed and a lot of work, going over every little thing I can think of and 3-4 part series. - so I'll want people to pay for it. its gonna be like $10, i'll make a video announcement here when its done.

mine are extremely cheap right now, so I'm only making maybe $600 off of each one..... and i can make 1 every 4-5 months. that's about $120 a month... and my monthly bills are $2200 !! so it's definitely not making much money for me lol
